I called my dealer just now and so far nothing has been updated to the next level. I think Californians will get their cars first.
The East Coast is always last for cars it seems.

My car is supposed to be here in 2 days on Monday to pick up but will wait till Tues. I will post if this is correct. We are in Oregon and will get cars before people in Calif supposively since we are in a different region and dont have to follow the "June 1st" rule.
EDIT: Picking uo tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm in Corvallis, Oregon

Can't wait to begin seeing pics of people with their 2010's as well. My dealer called the other day and said mine will be in mid June around the 10th to the 15th... I was like yeah, I know it's on the Kentucky Highway and right around the Panama Canal now. So all he could say was oh yeah, you're on some Priority program, how did you do that?! :D

My dealer said the boat lands here on the east coast May 29th, and that my priority order Prius will be delivered sometime between the 3rd and the 10th of June... sigh.

Did he say where it lands on the east coast first? Since you got a date about a week earlier than I did I guess it stops south of Newark first, but where is that? Just wanting to know for future reference :)

I've found that the length of wait a dealer tells you on the 2010s is proportional to the number of 2009s they have left...Maita Toyota has 25 in stock. Up here there's a dealer who is hoarding the 2009s, they have over 50 and they told me the wait on 2010s is October! Meanwhile across town I can get one in June or July. Almost bought one on eBay today that would be here early June but it had the wrong interior color.

I don't know why people insist on playing games- I remember this and I'll never go back, ever. I'll gladly pay a few hundred more to someone who is straight with me from the beginning.

You may be on to something there... I've noticed similar responses from my local dealers. Each with varying numbers of 2009's on the lot.

Accordingly, some dealers may do that. However, they are just shooting themselves in the foot. Allocation is something that comes up all the time on here, but few know how the whole thing works and how it is determined.

Prius allocation is based on 3 things.
    1) The total number you have sold over the last 6 months with a weight assigned.
    2) The number of 2009 prius you have on the ground right now.
    3) The number of 2010's you have on the ground right now.

There is a max days supply of 3 on the 2010's. If you, on average, sell 2 per day, and have 5 on the lot, you are ok. If you have 7 on the lot, your allocation will be reduced next time around (2 cars x 3 days = 6).

So what have we learned? If you are going to sit on the 2009's and refuse to sell 2010's, you will earn less 2010's when the 2009's are gone. And once you lose allocation, it takes at least 6 months of fighting with the region to get more. And the dealer never wins a battle with the region.

I'm guessing there is a boat close if not already one docked on the east coast. I would image they sent an east coast boat out first. The only reason I say this and it is a guess, when I got my TCH in May of 2006, I got serial number 579. It came in about 2 weeks earlier than the dealer thought it would.

First one I know of is "Kentucky Highway", and she doesn't arrive until May 29th. The VIN# test doesn't quite stack up though as there are 2 different codes for the 7th to last digit. It is either 1 or 5. As an example.. JTDKN3DU is the start of EVERY prius. The next few digits are the engine code, factory where built, year, etc. The last 6 is your true vehicle #. A "1000123" is not necessarily built before a "5000199"

It's good to know my dealer is being straight with me.

Mine is on the Continental Highway, Allocation No 051. I couldn't find the thread that had the link to GPS tracking of the cargo ships. Can anyone help? Thanks!

We're down to our last six 09's ( three 2's, one 4, and one 5 ). As the largest in our district by a ratio of 4:1 in Prius sales we will be out of 09s sometime during the next week to 10 days. My concern is that we will be out of Prius' - of any kind - after the first 10's hit and then get snapped up.
