A simple question. My new 2009 has an auto dimming mirror. It has three house shaped symbols on it, what are they for? I can find nothing in the manual.

You can assign garage door opener codes to them so you dont have to carry around the blocky garage door opener clip thingy.

You'll need to look at the owner's manual a little more closely: pages 336-340, "Garage Door Opener", "Programming the Homelink".

Read the programming instructions carefully. If you have a garage door opener that uses rolling codes, it can be a little tricky. But it works. Also, once it's programmed, you may have to hold the button for about 1 to 2 seconds to get the opener to respond (unlike most garage door opener keyfobs, where you just press and immediately release).

    Best wishes,

Does this only work with "homelink" garage door openers? Mine is a "Chamberlain", not sure if Home-Link is a certain brand of garage door openers or the name of the wirless module for all brands of garage openers.

haha nono. Homelink is the name for those 3 buttons. It's the integrated garage door opener feature.

My car didn't come with a manual, any tips on programming? I'll dig trought the threads to see how to do it.
