I'm on a waiting list at 2 dealers, both say the 1st week of June. I think the first batch of vehicles will be arriving VIA Kentucky Highway May 29th, then 10 days from port to dealer. Search the forum and you'll find a few links to 'live' tracking.

    Spidey,
I was at the dealer on Thursday. They are being told late June to Early July for Eastern PA. We put a deposit on it last June. We expected the dealer to provide a little more info, especially since they have had our $ for nearly a year. How much of the lack of information is the dealer and how much is Toyota? Dealer claims they still do not have an allocation. Waiting for a Sandy Beach w ATP.

As stated, Kentucky Highway is supposed to get to Newark on May 29th. Each region is different, but the dealers in our region should have a better idea of everything next week... Hang in there, it won't be long now (I hope!! lol) I'm waiting as well for the cars to come. :)

It has been four months since the 2010 Prius was announced at the Detroit Auto show. It has been another month since the msrp pricing was announced. The dealer says they still do not have "regional" pricing and that Toyota does price vehicles by region. Other posts to this forum have said the Kentucky Highway can carry about 6,000 vehicles. Does anyone on this forum believe that Toyota did not know the final destination for each of those vehicles before that ship left the dock in Japan?
I appreachiate the many posts people make to this forum. It has helped my wife and I to decide which package we want. Why was the information not made available by Toyota? The dealer claims they could not even ask which vehicle we wanted until last week. Is the US marketing that messed up that Toyota cannot communicate with customers who have made a serious commitment to purchase a vehicle? Why do so many people believe it is OK to get information from Prius chat rather than from Toyota? Have other people been able to place orders and receive some kind of estimated delivery date?
I hope Toyota has done a better job at building the Prius than it has in managing the sales channel.

Once the cars are on the ship the dealers know what they are getting as well as what other dealers in the area are getting. I got both my 05 and 08 because my dealer did a "dealer swap" with another dealer that had a similar Prius on the same ship. That's how i got the color I wanted, the advantage of this also is that the car i wanted once offloaded got shipped direct to my dealer and the other guy got the other car shipped to him.

Ive been in touch with a lot of dealerships in SE PA. It seems even the high volume dealers are only getting one 2010 Prius from this initail delivery. I'm number three on the waiting list. One place got the exact Pruis V I wanted, but won't sell it until they get a second car. The dealer said he wanted this car in the showroom for people to look at. I guess the take home message for those in SE PA is be patient, this may take a while.

    Om Shanti.

My dealer called this morning saying my car was in- Red exterior, and I wanted Sandy Beach. MY sister also put an order in 10 minutes after me- same dealer. I swaped my Red to her. Now I am back to waiting for my Sandy Beach Metallic (in Trims 2,3, or 4). The large volume dealer tells me July will have a larger allocation. My dealers June allocation was 2 cars, and he has 8 deposits as of last week. Strange thing is, the dealer does not know what his future allocation is composed of. Toyota must be running the show. My dealer did know his June allocation about 2 weeks before the ship docked. The dealer pulls up a "Vehicle Report Inquiry" to show the make up of the vehicles.

My dealer in WV is in the CAT region like PA. He told me he expects his one allocation next week. It's not what I want but he had no choice. He said my choice is now a priority 1 and he'll know Tuesday more about the delivery on the next allocation.

The dealer in Cranberry, PA (north of Pittsburgh) got 5 allocated (2 IIs, 2 IIs and 1 IV) yesterday, but they won't be delivered until late June. I put my deposit in one of the Prius II!

I got a call about 2 weeks ago for the 1st allocation of 1 due to arrive next week - Sandy Beach IV, no packages, I passed. Last night they called again with silver metallic IV w/ Solar. I wanted the Sandy Beach, but they are equally light, so I didn't care that much. I grabbed it. They said delivery could be 3rd week of June, but more realistically the 4th week.

I had to tell him what options I wanted so they will be installed at port.

Oh, they said that only 7% of cars have solar, so that package will be hard to get. I don't know if that is for all the models or just the IV.

I am taking my 17mpg minivan in on Monday for an apprasial. I won't get much, but any amount will come off the "out the door" price.

If you live near Philadelphia there is one for sale in Doylestown. Nice dealer too. My father bought his 2005 there when there was no prius's available in his area. I'd post the direct link but it won't let me.

Thanks for the info D Baum. I live just a hop, skip & jump from the Lancaster Co. border. Doylestown is a bit of a trek for me.

I'm sure the III won't be on the lot for very long.
