I'll get scanning when I get home from work then :)

When I say bring it forward - I'm talking about a 2-3 weeks. Which would put us in mid/late July. BUT... this is "available to drive away date"

I'm expecting that you will be able to order before then - maybe week 3 of June, which is when the demo models will be in the showrooms.

Unfortunately I can't name my source as Toyota GB are getting a bit stroppy about info being leaked early - hence why in the last few weeks they've gone into information lock down.

Thanks Tone_UK for the info, it's much appreciated. My local dealer (Jemca, Seven Sisters) wouldn't tell me anything. I get amazed when global companies don't realise that when they release products country by country people will search the internet and realise they are missing out. The worst example of this is the Nissan GT-R, it's just been launched in the UK yet has been available in Japan for almost 2 years.

Does make me wonder what is happenning for the rest of Europe?

Someone in Norway (I think, maybe the Netherlands) posted that he'd placed a pre-order for a 2010 with expected delivery in September!!

He also called it an 'executive class' instead of our T-3/4/Spirit system. Another thing I just realised: We get signal mirrors while the USA doesn't! So maybe it's worth waiting a little extra for.

But could anyone tell me if we have a USB port included? I know the US has to wait till September, is it the same for us? It's a pretty desirable feature for me.

Alright, more good news! The toyota.co.uk site just updated with news of the country's first 3rd gen Prius:

"Starting on Monday 18 May, Toyota will be visiting three of the country’s biggest and busiest shopping destinations; The Trafford Centre in Manchester, Birmingham’s Bullring and Bluewater in Kent."

So you don't get to drive it, but you do get to gawk it.

In sadder news, the same page says "And, though the Prius isn’t due on British roads until 1 August...."

Lets hope they can pull it forward!

The Netherlands have had full price list and specs for weeks which I found odd. Maybe it's a big market for Toyota Europe so they launched there first. September delivery would kill me - but it could happen if my chosen option isn't on the boat I suppose!

They have Comfort, Aspiration, Dynamic and Executive. Starting at 24,990 Euros through to 34,290 Euros. (£30,140) Ker-ching!

Me too - but no idea. I'll see if i can find out :)

    ANYWAY........ :cheer2:

Here's a PDF of the new brochure (apologies for any slightly wonky pages! - it was done in a hurry!)

So, we get a 31mph EV limit where the US gets 25mph. Interesting; ours has gone up from 29mph and theirs down from 34!

Still a frustrating lack of detail on exactly what is in which grade of the car. Do all grades get LED headlamps, for example? It looks that way from the images on the website, but they've not stated it.

Yep, a lot of detail missing which suggests to me maybe they are still finalising it all.

I also get pissed off with photos of LHD cars in a UK brochure. Japanese cars are RHD - how hard is it to get promotional pics of the cars the right way round?

I'm from the Netherlands and also ordered the Executive class (which is the fully loaded version) with leather and solar. On a Dutch forum it was said that cars with the solar option would be on a separate ship which arrives in september and my dealer confirmed this ("if you are lucky".... :-(). I thought about changing the order (cars without solar would arrive in July/August), but it is not clear if there will be any early cars that are not already assigned to other early buyers.

Actually the What Car brochure that my dealership gave me says "Low energy LED lamps are also available" which implies they aren't standard on all models. That makes sense because of their cost, they're probably optional on the T3/4 and standard on the Spirit?

    Greetings from Australia....
Just for interest, we get the new Prius in mid-July. Our pricing should be known at the end of June. Orders are being taken here now.
We have 2 models, same as now.....a base model, and the top model (I-tech) which has everything on the US option list except for Lane Keep Assist and 17" wheels.
Toyota here is generating a lot of pre-release interest here with leaks about the car and equipment levels.

In the Netherlands we have four versions:

    • Comfort Edition € 24,990
    • Asperation € 27,990
    • Dynamic € 31,290
    • Executive € 34,290
There are no extra packages available, just a small list of accessories ranging from a radio/navigation system, a JBL speakerset, to doormats. The executive version is packed with most goodies, like leather interior, navigation system, adaptive cruise control, Intelligent Parking Assist, LED front lights etc. I don't think the Lane Keep Assist is available in Europe, I would have liked to have that.

We can get a transparant or a stainless steel rear bumper protector, and no a black (?) plastic one. I suppose stainless steel looks much better with darker colours.

I ordered my Prius two days ago, and it seems delivery will take place in the middle of August.

It seems the Netherlands is the only European country where only the new Prius can be ordered. I noticed that the Toyota web sites of other European countries still offer the old type. I'm not surprised, tax reductions in buying and driving the car make sure that Toyota can sell lots of these cars.

I ordered my Comfort Edition mid April and it is scheduled for delivery mid July.

My deeply felt sympathy with all of you Britons, having many months of agonising anticipation ahead. It is only now that I am beginning to realise the full extent of the cruelty cast upon you by Toyota Motors inc .

The Netherlands is an important market, due to two tax incentives that are very favourable for hybrids. The first is the so-called 'BPM' we have in The Netherlands. It is a special 40% tax on new cars (on top of which comes 19% VAT). Petrol hybrids below 110 g CO2/km are exempt from this tax (diesels below 95 g/km).

The second tax has to do with company cars. If you have a company car, the 'Belastingdienst' (IRS) adds a percentage of the value of the car to your income, since they assume you use the car also for private km's and therefore is a part of your salary. The percentage is dependent on the fuel consumption. It is either 25%, 20% or 14%. It is clear that the Prius falls in the 14% category, making it a very, very attractive company car. That's how the majority of Priuses end up on Dutch roads.

Yesterday I got the order confirmation from the lease company. Delivery of my car is planned for October 9th. Isn't it funy? Toyota made a huge loss due to the dropped sales, and still it takes them 5 months to deliver a car.

Yeah it's like Nintendo's Wii shortages for the last two years, people wanted to buy them but Nintendo just wasn't making them fast enough.

I want to give Toyota my money, I'd hand it over tomorrow if I could but noooooo, they refuse to take it. Do Japanese companies not want our money?? Does capitalism work differently over there?? I don't understand!!

My delivery date was supposed to be mid July. However, supposedly the interior color that I selected (Aqua) makes them take a month longer. So that would be mid August. Given the fact that my 3 week holiday starts August 15th, I would be pretty ticked off if I had to take off to the UK w/o my Blizzard Pearl Prius 2010....

They've already said in January at Detroit that Canada and Europe will have later launches than the US

It seems that the European specs are not finalized yet, and that the car doesn't have European approval yet.

I've ordered my Prius in Royal Blue exterior colour and Aqua interior colour. I suppose these colours are called Blue Ribon and Misty Grey in the US, and even different names in the UK.

The pre-Sales brouchure that Tone_UK kindly scanned in has now been mailed out to people who registered for updates on new Prius via the Toyota.co.uk website. I got mine today.
