    Hey guys,

I have a 2004 prius and I can't seem to seek within a song (Fastforwarding through a song). Am I doing something wrong? Every time I try to seek it skips to the next track since it's the same button as the skip.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Thanks

No can do. The seek function only goes track fwd/back, and if you hold the button for a moment it skips folders fwd/back.

I think you can only do the "seek" function using the arrow buttons on the MFD screen under "Audio". It took me a while to figure that one out. Not very convenient when you're driving and trying to keep your eyes on the road.

Its pretty odd that you can't seek on the actual deck. This only came about when I burned a 60 minute mix on a CD and every time I tried to skip it would restart the whole song. It's really Really annoying. I wonder if they fixed that in the later generation.

    Thanks for the replies!

No problem. I totally understand your pain. I also burned a 60 minute podcast on a CD and tried to rewind a bit to rehear the previous segment using the controls on wheel but it restarted the whole darn thing, ugh.

Maybe it's time for me to get an iPod adapter. ^_^

That usually happens at minute 48.63 of the podcast too. lol

This is one of the huge reasons I swapped to a new damn stereo. I got tired of not having room on CDs and not being able to seek. :) ipods were too expensive as a new stereo with USB controls solved my problem.

Yes I can seek by holding the "^" or "V" end of the "seek|track" button on the dash of my 2009 Prius. :)
