Now that we know the 2010 pricing, how much would you pay for a 2005 Prius?

    Finally made it down to Greenville yesterday to take my car over to Carmax and Toyota of Greenville to get my 2006 appraised. With 45,000 miles, excellent condition, Nav, Leather, etc, Carmax only offered $13,000 and Toyota of Greenville gave me a ballpark of $11,500 - $12,500.

    KBB Trade-In value is $15,625, Private Party is $18,170.

    Ouch. The worst part is that I'm not seeing any on eBay or Craigslist garnering much more than the Carmax offer.

    I just found a used one in a Honda lot for $14,000. 70,000 miles. But it is probably not as well cared for as yours is. Since you posted this over a month ago, what happened? Did you sell it?

    Sorry, Sunshine, I missed this after you first posted. No, I decided to keep it and skip the 2010. I couldn't justify it economically.

    When the 10s come out this summer, everything else will be a year older, so expect prices to drop on the older models.
