Interior Color Opinion -- Bisque vs Misty Gray w/Blizzard Pearl

Not at all in my experience. As long as you maintain the materials.

In fact I would say that grey probably shows wear the worst...it gets "dingy" over time.

To someone who says Blizzard Pearl is impractical? A pearl white is about the easiest color to keep clean aside from silver. Pure white is pretty easy too.

And being put off by the cost. $225...less than 1% of the overall cost of the car...

 

You just have to maintain the materials. Grey and tan have the same issue, and the added problem is that the leather darkens with age too, especially on the steering wheel.

Leather is going to get a patina as it ages, its supposed to. But I take excellent care of my cars and the Lexus looks the best out of the cars I've had up to its mileage (125k). My dad's 98 LS400 w/ black interior had 165k when he traded it and it looked just as good.

Back when I used to detail cars the black interiors always came out the best...

 

That is NOT normal. It may be deemed normal for the 2010 , but 2 toning the interior is not a design attribute. If I was color blind, it would look o.k. If I had known of the 2 toning of the Bisque interior, I would have ordered misty grey. It looks like they ran out of the proper color and used whatever they had. The form, fitting, and design of the interior is topnotch otherwise.

 

I think my bisque interior is fine. It is barely distinguishable from the light grey anyway. There are black and silver accents throughout the interior (including black mats and silver door handles) that pick up on the dash and the light grey headliner. I think the interior design with respect to colors is cleverly done to work with any of the color combos. Do kind of wish they had padded those door handles, though.

 

Oh definately, better materials age much more favorably.

 

I agree with Paradox. I actually ordered the dark grey interior but the dealer made a mistake and it came with the light grey (cloth) interior. At first I was shocked and thought about not accepting the car (even though I had been waiting 2 months). But the more I looked at it the more I liked it. The 2-tone is very attractive, I think, and the car generally looks much more "grown up" and fancier than the dark grey interior, in my opinion. To me, the dark grey makes the whole interior look like one color and is not nearly as interesting to look at. Plus, to me the dark grey interior looks "cheaper" somehow. Plasticky, kind of. Anyway, I am going to have the dealer install their "Propak" interior (and exterior) protection package (at their expense, since they made the mistake). The dealer's co-owner also put me at ease when she explained to me that she has a light grey interior with the propak package and her toddler daughter drew with a sharpie pen all over the back seat, but she was able to remove it all, no problem.

 

I seen a Blizzard Pearl with the Bisque leather interior. It looked real sharp

 

We have an Option V with Pearl and Gray leather. Here in the Dallas area, the summer heat is a bit much. My other Prius with the darker interior about worked the AC to death trying to keep up. With the gray, the AC on my new Prius has no problem keeping the temps down and comfortable.

The dash and door panel color with the gray interior is lighter and does not get near as hot as my other one did. I could almost burn my hand on the black dash in my other Prius. Cooler dash = cooler car. Cooler seats = cooler car.
