picked it up a week ago and love it!
    roomy,comfortable,fun to drive!!

hybrid is much easier to use just battery power than the prius,if your going below 40mph and easy on the gas you can stay on battery power, with the prius you barelytouch the gas petal and the ice would kick right on.

great feature for when on battery is the ac and heater reduced power function, conserves major battery life.
has awesome options on it just a sweet ride.

any sugestions on tire pressure?at what pressure will it help the most with mpg's
seems to be getting 33-34 mpg on 2nd tank of gas and tire pressure set at what was on the lot.
any other secrets to more m.p.g let us know!!

one disappointing thing was id like to see auto up and down windows other than that very happy.

    thanks:d

I use 41/40 front/read, best trade off with ride and mileage.

Congrats on your new acquisition. I've had my on TCH for about a month now, and I love it too! The driver's side window works as auto down, but that's the only one. I decided to get the 09 and not the 2010 as I like the 09 style better. I think you made a great choice! :)

My wife and I looked at an '09 TCH for her. She loved it. And it's rare for her to enjoy driving a new car that much. Even though there were a few things she didn't like, the parts she liked overwhelmingly overshadowed them.

Now it's just a question of when she'll want to buy. There's no rush.

If there's no rush, maybe you should consider the '10, just because it has the improved nav, and a few other minor improvements, like auto up on the windows.

1 San Diego dealer has 2 2009 TCH i'm guessing base for $21,995 advertised in the paper. I've gotten close just because of the Prius' driving position.

now is the time to buy, test drive it,you will be sold on it.
should be able to get it 2k under invoice not msrp.
also toyota has 1500 cash back on them now.
tell em your not paying the 750.00 freight charge.

they are wheeling and dealing on the 09's see what you can do.

For those considering the TCH, I'd recommend also looking at the NAH due to the $3250 incentive going on right now + $2350 Federal tax credit. I posted about the huge incentive I learned about at http://priuschat.com/forums/nissan-...ow-nah-now-has-3250-incentive-in-my-area.html after seeing some people get deals on greenhybrid.com

Sure it has slightly worse mileage than the TCH (http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/new-cars/buying-advice/most-fuelefficient-cars-206/) feels less refined due to more noticeable power transitions and rougher ICE startup/shtudown but it's more powerful and feels a bit less like a boat.

(Had a loaner TCH for ~1.5 days and I've driven my mom's NAH many times.)
