The Conti took gm and chyrslers back. True they were not likely for Japan. Freight fowarding I think they call it. And used cars and trucks are still in demand in China and SE Asia. My biz assoc. across the table from me say Ford and GM made in China almost as bad as thier Chinese cars and you can't get a full sized pickup.

Thanks James, you know more than most of us do about this.
The Philippines also gets a lot of used cars but mostly from Japan. SE Asia is quite a place. I can't wait to move back there. :)

I saw a TV show a few years ago showing how the automobile transport ships are organized and work. Longshore workers on the show indicated that they are VERY careful. There is a no tolerance policy. If they screw up a car, they loose their job.

Takes 9 days to reach west coast(portland). Another 9 days to get to east coast. Not seeing it yet but it's linked to back on page 1. 2 ships headed your way sooner, 1 in Jacksonville, FL and 1 at the Panama Canal. Not all presold so you could get lucky with a match.

My car was on the Apollon Leader and my dealer here in Middle Tennessee told me last week that the car is in freight and has an ETA of June 16, so I would imagine that Indiana is around that time as well.

I just know that the Andromeda Leader will be the next ship into Newark after the Pyxis Leader. I can't find it yet either.

Thanks for that bit of info, Jabber. I posted a question about that ship yesterday but it quickly got buried.

My car is on that ship. Would an arrival at my dealer in the midwest by June 30 be probable?

To the best of my knowledge (which is small) Vancover US is not a Toyota port. Toyota has a pretty new multi million dollar port in Portland but the 2 citys are just on opposite sides of the river so i'm betting it's actually going to Portland if hauling Toyotas.

Eastcoast ships seem to have gone the eastern route this time and not Cuba/Key West. Will not see them till right at port.
