VA, MD, DC - Where To Find A 2010 Prius...

Bill Page Toyota in Falls Church had two yesterday - one of them being mine. I'm not sure if the other one was spoken for.

The General Sales Manager there said they have 5 coming in, spread out evenly over the month of June, and that none of them are spoken for yet. It wouldn't surprise me if another one showed up there before this weekend.

I know they also have one at Koons Tysons Toyota. He told me you can call for a test drive.

 

I received a call yesterday from Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg. They now have one at the dealer available for test drive. The fellow I spoke with told me there were quite a few more arriving before month's end. I checked and there are 31 listed on their website. All are priced at MSRP.

 

koons in tysons is making test drive appointments for their one tester. they have 37 inbound in June, 19 slotted for preorders and 7 more (as of Monday) also sold. NO IV SRs and NO Vs in the first 37 - that is so BS, like we don't have heat here in the swamps of northern virginia, md and dc. (yes i am one of the pre-orders at $500 of msrp NOT being filled yet)

 

Yes finally the Mid-Atlantic shipments arrived in the last several days. We're expecting quite a few at the end of the month.

 

Is our area the absolute LAST place on earth to receive the 2010?

 

From VA to ME yes. These are the markets the farthest away from Japan so it makes perfect sense. The vehicles all left nearly at the same time but because of the longer transit time we were last to receive the first shipments. I think the N European market may be even somewhat later due to an even longer transit time.

that's awesome. wonder why lustine gets a IV SR and koons gets 37 cars none with SR?

 

Are you the FIRST in this area?? What color is it and have you posted photos yet?

 

My friend received this notice. I haven't called them to find out how many they actually have at the dealer or why they have that many available.

BTW, I stopped by Darcars in Rockville MD to look at their showroom model last night. It was a III in Sandy Beach. The color is not to my taste, but I do think the overall shape and interior is much nicer than the previous generation. At this point, I only want to be able to see all the colors and especially with the solar roof and I asked the salesman when they would have more to show. He told me they are all going to look the same (I guess he meant shape), and then he kept trying to convince me what a great car the Prius is and that it "is the top-of-the-line hybrid", etc. even though I had told him I already have a Prius. He was also saying how the plastic wheel covers were one of the best things about it.

 

LOL - This fellow must make the best lemonade in MD!
