Good point, but you being Canadian, I assume you know that hockey gear is the ripest smelling thing on earth. Nothing will get rid of the smell, except for very short periods, after which it comes back with a vengeance.

That cat is sick. She loves the smell, rolling around in it and pulling it to her face. I assume it has something to do with male scent. Yuck.

I was just teasing, of course I'm aware of how some male - and lets face it female - sports items exude certain odors. Believe it or not, I played football in highschool, my jock strap would get up on its own and scuttle across the locker room tiles

Powerful industrial chemicals can temporarily get rid of the funk, but they also tend to disintegrate the article in question. Massive doses of radiation, in excess of 100,000 rads, will also temporarily get rid of the funk.

Problem is, the few remaining funk organisms are then mutated by the rads, crawl up your nose or into your ear while you're sleeping, and start eating your brain.

    It's actually a pleasant sensation

My cats love going to the vet, as the office also handles large farm animals. If the vet has been working on horses, the cats both sit at his feet, eyes closed, mouths open, sniffing in everything they possibly can

Actually, we bought the house before they even had the chance to list it. We saw the sign the same day it was put up. During several visits, I made friends with their cat and told him he could stay. So he did. The previous owners bought another house close by, and as soon as they let Tigger out, he came straight home. They'd have to phone at night to ask if I'd seen him. "I think maybe he's on the porch" I'd say, with Tigger on my lap, purring all the louder. :p

I'd suggest putting it in the freezer, which kills off the bacteria, but then the food tastes like...well, not pleasant. In winter where you live, you could hang it on the porch for awhile. Just don't forget to bring it in before practise.

There is an all-natural, organic product called Odor Mute, available in pet supply stores. It's a white powder. You mix it with warm water, and it's safe on anything that can be put in or soaked with warm water. It neutralizes all organic odors, such as skunk spray and cat or dog urine. It's commonly used in kennels. It will leave your jockey shorts smelling as they did before the first time you wore them, without damaging the fabric.

If your dog is sprayed by a skunk, you can bathe the dog in it. Or yourself, if you are hit by skunk spray.

It probably will not work on chemical or solvent smells like gasoline.

 I LOVE all the cat stories, they are so funny. I also like how a cat story can be turned into a how to clean your sports gear story!:D

I don't know how to add pictures. I am a bit dumb when it comes to these things.

How about a button for 'get down from the curtains?'

She only made it up once, we trimmed her nails that afternoon.

Speaking as one middle aged guy to another middle aged guy, here are some tips:

Never try to hold it in for long periods, always take a wee whenever convenient.

The prostate is natures little prank on men. There are natural products that help it behave, if you start on them early enough

If the little bugger is really misbehaving, there are prescription drugs that not only shrink it, but help the entire wee process

There is *nothing* to be ashamed about having the occasional accident. Especially at the thought of parasites nibbling on my brain (It really is a very pleasant sensation)

Remember, we're in this together! Keep that chin up!

I’m sure that mischievous brother-in-law of yours will help you out. If he doesn’t, next time you mix him a drink, spike it with picolax and ipecac.

    That’ll fix him!

When you are typing a post, scroll down the page until you see "Manage Attachments." It's just a little below the box you type your reply into. Below the "Submit Reply" butting there's a frame labeled "Additional Options." and within that there's a box labeled "Attach Files" and within that there's a single button labeled "Manage Attachments."

Clicking on that will open a pop-up window. Within that window click on "Browse" and navigate to the picture you want to upload. Select it, and it will appear in the box. Then click on "Upload" (you might have to widen the window to see the "Upload" button). Then close the pop-up window, and when you post your reply, the picture will appear as a thumbnail, which expands when someone clicks it. You can upload three pictures at a time, as there are three spaces for files, each with its own browse button. After uploading three, you can repeat the process to upload three more, etc.

A guy once asked me if I wore boxers or briefs. I answered "Depends..."

Thanks Daniel I will give it a try.
Your idea Jayman is also a good one. I actually don't see Pat that much. We live on the opposite sides of town. Pat lives South of Adelaide, and I live North of Adelaide. We usually only see each other at Family things, and they are getting fewer and fewer.

Well at least there's a cat thread even if it's sort of lame.

Now off to look at the crazies
