That's the one I'm looking for. Then you can group commands together without using parenthesis.

Once you go RPN, you don't go back

HP stopped designing new calculators a few years ago, so the RPN Cat Calculator can only be an unattainable dream. :(

The human remote control is otherwise known as "THE Look" which immediately puts you at its command.

Okay, Okay. I've located the Nikon that was in my nightstand drawer. I even put batteries in it but it has a lot of buttons and settings [IMG] Who knows where the instructions have gotten to.

Bunny, now I have to locate the cable or whatever it was I used to get pics from the camera to the computer the last time I used it over a year ago. I wonder if there's still space on the memory card? At least when I crawl under the desk to attach cable I'll have Fay supervising. She helped me with the pool cleaner today. Wow, there are a LOT of cables down there.

My early estimate, maybe 6 months for me to get it all done. And that's assuming somoene didn't break into my house and steal my camera cable or camera instructions. Last time I didn't use it for a while I accidentally filmed when I thought I was taking a photo with it and filled up a whole memory card.

What does a camera cable even look like? I have closets full of extra computer cables and wires. You'd think I'd have left it somewhere near the computer..or camera...or the old computer that I replaced recently. Cables, cables, cables. I hate cables.

    You are way demanding Dr.

Forget the cable. Just pull the memory card out of the camera and stick it into a card reader that plugs into your USB slot. The computer will see the card as an external drive and you can drag and drop the pictures into the computer.

If you're not sure whether the card has space, drag all the pictures in it onto your computer and then delete everything on the card and empty the trash. (If you don't empty the trash, the pictures might still be taking up space on the card, depending on how your OS manages external drives.) Then you can delete from your computer any pictures you don't want to keep. Then you'll have an empty card for cat pictures, which is all anyone ever really needs to take pictures of anyway.

Depending on your computer, you may have a card reader directly on the computer. A lot of laptops have that. My iMac does not, so I use a USB stick with card slots.

Yes, most people do. Sometimes they are hard to reach. You need to pull down your pants and bend over...

Yes, unless your computer is 20 years old.

Pull the memory card out of your camera and take it to a computer store and tell them you want a USB card reader that accepts that kind of card. Then look for a socket on your computer that looks like the reader would fit into it. Then plug it in.

USB is "plug-and-play" meaning that you don't need any software, and you can plug it in while the computer is running.

Then launch your file management program (the Finder on a Mac or "My Computer" on a (P)iece of (C)rap. You can drag and drop files within that.

Note that you do not need a fancy card reader. You can get one that's just like a memory stick, but with a card slot in it. It will probably accept several different kinds of cards. Just make sure you put the card in the right way, or it won't go in. Likewise, the reader plugs into the computer only one way. Wrong way around it won't go in.

With some individuals, the size of a parallel cable would not be an issue. ;)

I watched that all the time when I was a kid, and yes I spelled it wrong.

Now I am the little old lady, with my puddy tat, and this is my Tweety Bird[IMG]
