I didn't see anything in the specs about how much they weigh, but probably more since they are chrome plated. Unless you don't care about feul economy, make sure they are nearly as light weight as the stock rims, which I think are around 12 lbs each.

The dimension that really means something is backspace, which has to be calculated since most manufacturers like to use offset instead. How far from the mounting surface is the inside rim? Since offset is measured from the center of the wheel, if two wheels are different widths (and this aftermarket wheel is wider than stock) then you have to calculate the backspace by converting the width to mm, divide by two, and add the offset (for negative offset, or front drive wheels). Do this for both to find out how much deeper the rim sits than stock (or not).

Second, if you have a Discount Tire store locally you can get this rim without shipping and save some bucks, since the Ebay price includes shipping. The brand is a Discount Tire house brand. Finally, if you need tires also you should be able to get a good package deal with a local Discount Tire or on their web page (www.discounttire.com).

Related to this, if you are going to use your stock tires, go to the website for the tire manufacturer, look up the tire you have and in the spec sheet find the rim widths that the tire model and size you have will fit. The stock narrow tire might not be happy on a 7" wide rim (yes, it should install and work, but it might wear the outsides of the tire if the rim is too wide for the tire).

I had a New Beetle. The wheels are hub centric, like the Toyota, but I would be careful in determining that the center is the same diameter and taper. The VW wheels ended up on my Neon ACR for street use (which isn't hub centric). The Neon crowd thought I was crazy, and talked about lug nut taper angles and other issues. I was told they would fly off and everyone would be killed. Never happened.

I would do that if I still had them! But they're long gone in some trade one of the kids did for some other tires/wheels.

That rims look good indeed but I'm not really sure if it's compatible with your Prius. Anyways I just stumbled upon this site which lets you pick the wheel you like and shows you what it looks like on your Prius. Haha! I just thought you might be interested.

Those look like chrome versions of the Volk TE37 (which is waaaayy lighter).

They look more accurately like SSR Integral GT2. Both the TE37 and GT2 are forged, and MUCH lighter. They are true performance wheels.

Forged wheels are much stronger than cast wheels, and lighter than OEM. But they also cost a bit more, and are for people that expect more from their wheels than JUST looks.

I searched and found this related post. I have the OEM steel rims from 1999 Beetle.
16 x 6.5 5/100 offset unknown but from this discussion will the width cause it to be wrong.
It is raining today but otherwise maybe I'll test them when weather improves.
I am trying to get winter studded on 2008 Prius Gen II and have these left from past in garage.

hey guys.... wow... i found this SUPER SITE (in japanese) to get great visuals of different types of rims on different types of vehicles. Their ride heights are also adjustable. Just click on "wheel fitting room" to start playing around with some really nice JDM rims and wheel sizes.

MB are really cheap wheels, my friend had 2 sets 17x9 on his 240sx track car, both set got bent in 2 days event, am talking about all 4 wheels. After few events, one wheel is cracked really bad, and those rims are heavy.
