Do you find the throttle response, from a dead stop, to be zippier in the Gen 2 Prius as compared to any year, Camry Hybrid.

Yes. In an earlier thread, I compared the 2. I own an '07 Prius and as '08 Camry Hybrid. They are both great in thier own ways. Comfort, the HY-Cam beats the Pri totally....seats in the Prius are NOT that comfortable. Both are top line loaded cars with all the bell and whistles available. Camry is more comfortable to travel in but luggage space is probably better in the Prius. Prius gets better mileage though. C=37-38 hwy P=47-50 hwy. Other than that, it is just to your own preference, I like both.

Throttle response - no. For everything else, what fgoodyear said.

We test drove both prior to buying our '09 Prius. The Prius was definitely zippier from a dead stop.

    10+ seconds 0-60 time for 2007 Prius

I think he or she is asking about 0-30, which the Prius does very well on.

Much closer in that case, according to Edmunds.com road tests:

    2008 Prius - 3.6 seconds (0-30)
    2008 Hycam - 3.4 seconds (0-30)
