Please help! PS/main battery/exclmatation mark lights 2001 prius

    PS MAIN (battery)? and Exclamation Mark (through a car) is showing up on the NAV screen and the exclamation mark light is showing on the display next to the odometer?

    please help.

    How do I find out what code it is showing? Sorry for my lack of knowledge.

    The previous owner said I have 100k mile warranty so I guess I'll take it into the dealership. I read a similar problem on these boards saying it could be the ECU which is only covered until 80k?

    I hope there is nothing major wrong with the car!

    Yes take it to the dealer if you have a warranty .... but call amd make sure you do .

    You are also limited in that warranty by time, perhaps 8 years, maybe 7? It may be a close call.

    Do you notice any driveability problems, such as lack of power, the gasoline engine running all the time, worse mpg than normal, etc.? If so my guess is that your traction battery has died.
