OK GENTLEMEN I AM PISSED. I ASKED A SIMPLE QUESTION & GOT STUPID ANSWERS. I WOULD LIKE TOYOTA TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS.

    1. MAKE SIGNAL MIRRORS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE DEALER

I KEEP READING THAT THE PRIUS BROUCHERS ARE AVAILABLE. WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALER THREE TIMES, NOTHING. SO I CALLED TOYOTA. I WAS TOLD THAT THE BROUCHERS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MID MAY. SOMEONE IS GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND.

I HAVE PURCHASED JEEPS FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS, LOVE THEM HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THEM OR THE DEALER. BUYING A PRIUS WOULD BE MY FIRST PURCHASE OF AN IMPORT.

SO FAR I AM NOT IN THE LEAST IMPRESSED WITH TOYOTA'S LACK OF RESPONSE TO MY INQUJIRIES. THEY SEEM A BIT ON THE UPPTY SIDE. TOYOTA BE CAREFUL, PRIUS SALES FOR APRIL WERE DOWN 61%. YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO ANTAGONIZE :mad:YOUR CUSTOMERS.

car is not on sale yet, dealers will be getting marketing materials up to before the sales launch, depending on their region... so no reason to feel p/o because of that.

The dealers can order the marketing materials if asked. I politely mentioned that some dealers are getting them and happened to be talking to the gentleman responsible for placing the order. He went online and placed the order w/ me standing there and told me they'd be in by the following week.

The following week, most didn't know if they had them but were willing to dig when I explained I had asked the guy to order them the week prior. I walked out w/ a brochure.

Either way, coming to a forum and shouting in all caps won't yield much better results that was had @ the dealer.

This will get as annoying as the fog light demands but this one has them beat since it is ALL IN CAPS.

p.s. i am sure that within few months you will be able to get imported signal mirrors... question is if you will be willing to pay the price for them.

    dang,

    Cool your jets, man :mad2:

You may indeed be pissed, but posting what is by its formatting a
screaming rant :target: is guaranteed not to win any sympathy here.

You could start over on the right foot simply by going back and editing
your OP into regular upper/lower case... :)

That wouldn't be such a big deal, would it... ;)

Or is this a misplaced Jeep specific behavior? :noidea:

Would be nice to find out soon if the wiring / harness for side mirror indicator lights is in the door from the factory. I'd have/hope to believe "yes' if in fact they will be a dealer-installed option at some time. Rather than the previously noted $450 for signal mirrors, may be fun to fashion an aftermarket mirror custom LED strip or the such.

If you've gotta' have 'em hurry-up-quick, right now, ASAP, there's always
this to tide you over 'til the real thing is available:

Stick-on Universal Side Mirror LED Light

    "Super bright LED light
"Flexibe PCB material to fit the side mirror smoothly
    "Universal design for all cars
    "Attach the light very easily
    "Make your drive safety"

Err... ok. Demanding won't get you anywhere. Just because your dealer doesn't have any brochures doesn't mean we're all lying or that Toyota sucks. The car isn't even out yet. Dealers usually order them a week before the cars are scheduled to arrive. Heck, up here, they don't arrive til AFTER the car is in the showroom sometimes.

In every society there are those that can't act in accordance with the general rules of society. Here, we have a person who is impatient, impulsive and unable to express their point of view without shouting. A true lack of maturity.

I can't get it when I want; therefore Toyota is going the way of GM...blah blah blah.

These forums should probably have a minimum maturity level.

Sounds a bit harsh the poor guy probably just posted before he realised he had caps lock on. I have done before as I am not a secretary I look at keyboard rather than screen when writing. I hope he doesn't think we are a bit uppety and if you are still here good luck in finding out what you wanted to know.

I hope he doesn't think we are UPPTY

"THEY SEEM A BIT ON THE UPPTY SIDE."

I have a vision in my head of the OP in the dealer. In this vision he is an older gentleman. He approaches the dealer experience with fear and trepidation. That fear manifests itself in paranoia. All that he experiences in the dealership is magnified. Small, insignificant things are magnified and blown out of proportion.

When he inquires about the brochures and is told they have none yet, he doesn't simply ask when they are expected, his fear and paranoia and general way about him come out in a confrontational rant directed at the poor salesman who is the bearer of the news.

The staff in the dealership within earshot are alerted by the behavior to the presence of unusual person. Senses are heightened and staff is ready to react quickly should the customer go too far. The rant is over in several minutes and the customer stomps out of the dealership mumbling something about jeeps.

Wow- Most excellent. When I do buy a 2010 I will order the turn signal mirrors the same day I buy the car. I have these on my '05 and I love them. Traffic in the SF Bay Area is pretty heavy and anything one can do to make their car more visible when driving and changing lanes the better.

But how do you install them? Is the turn signal wiring already in the door so you just plug the new mirror's electrical in or do you have to run new wiring? The labor on that would make this cost much more than $199.

Yeah I'm waiting eagerly for someone to post who bought these and how the install was. I notice it said the harness may be included... 'MAY' If its not I am sure this can become more trouble than it's worth. Otherwise swapping out the old one with the new one shouldn't be too bad... It's the wiring if it's not there, no harness etc.
