I'm looking to add the XM Module to my wife's 2009 Prius Package 5. How easy is it to do? Also, will XM NavTraffic work with the integrated nav system? That's mainly the reason for doing this.

I think that the add-on XM Module doesn't support XM NAVTraffic. It didn't in my '07 Camry Hybrid or '08 Highlander Hybrid.

My '10 Prius came with integrated NAV and XM, and it supports NAVTraffic and NAVWeather. I just don't think the add-on module to a SAT-ready radio/NAV has the smarts in it to support NAVTraffic.

It is very easy to add XM to your car. No need to pay the dealer to do what you can accomplish yourself in an hour or so. I did it to my 2009 Package 2 car a couple months ago and here is the thread with the info and links to the instructions you'll need.

I don't have Nav in my car, but I am pretty sure that the add-on XM module is just for the music channels, not the Navtraffic. Still, for me, it's definitely worth having!

    Good luck and enjoy!
