"Sicko" on TV Tonight

    Michael Moore's 'Sicko' on T.V. Tonight
    Thursday, July 16th, 2009
    The Movie Channel, this evening, will be airing the Oscar-nominated documentary, "Sicko," Michael Moore's film about a villain known as the health insurance industry. With the debate raging in Washington, D.C. -- Republicans trying to scuttle it, the President trying to hang on to his public option, and nearly a hundred members of Congress pushing for a single-payer system -- showing "Sicko" tonight is very timely. Mike lays out all the facts and the arguments as to why the private insurance companies are never going to side with what's best for the American people.
    "Sicko" airs on The Movie Channel tonight at 8:00 PM. It's also scheduled to air on The Movie Channel on July 27th at 4:05 PM and on TMC Xtra on August 2nd at 10:45 PM and August 5th at 2:15 AM and 7:30 AM. Click here for showtimes.

    well, i wont watch it. (dont have TV...) but have already seen it, and slanted?? yep... valid?? yep

    only someone with their head up their nice person would think our health care system is acceptable. we need to make changes. now how we need to change, i dont know. but something needs to be done

    i am sure there is a lot to be said about Michael Moore's commentary, but i personally dont see what the problem is... he has an opinion, expresses it, presents facts and scenarios to support his opinion... what is the problem with that??

    now, do we have issues because he does not present a balanced presentation?? well, exactly who fricking does??

    if i want something, i sure as hell aint gonna tell you whats wrong with my wants?? its up to you to figure that one out because i have already weighed the pros and cons. you need to come up with something to change my mind and that is exactly what Moore is doing....

    he is presenting facts and WE NEED TO make the changes.

    shoot him done as much as you want because THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS... a reaction...nothing more

    a reaction, dont think so, he wants action and people to see what the rich and well off can pay lobbyists to make them more well off and keep the little guy, little. perhaps you have seen this from another post i put up

    "oh no i didn't" is an homage to "oh no you dint" - a figure of speech popular in the current culture, most common among the young and urban.

    It is similar to "Don't go there!" but in the sense "I did go there".

    not exclusively "negros" as you put it - it also includes caucasion and brown skinned youths who adopt what is sometimes referred to as the "hip hop" or "gangsta" life style

    I'll not be watching it because 1.) Currently working 3rd shift (grrrrr). 2.) Don't get the Movie Channel, and. 3.) Already have the DVD.

    1) i am the one who implied we at PChat are too smart to watch that crap
    2) "oh no i didn't" does not mean i didn't watch the video (although I didn't watch the video) - it means "i can't believe i just said that" or "you heard right - i did say that"
    3) race was introduced when my use of "urban" as a nice way to say "african american" was pointed out as meaning "black", in an obviously non-racist ans well intentioned post
