    Greetings Fellow Owners,

    My wife and I were discussing the 'breed' of folks that are Prius owners and what they do for a living.

    This is more of a curiosity poll at the moment; however we do have a hunch on how the results will turn out once the data is analyzed.

    Okay, so for starters I'm a:

    My husband is a Lead System Engineer / Chief System Administrator (It apparently changes according to who is looking. :D ) for an IBM and Toyota affiliate. (IT)

    Sr. Network Lab Engineer skirting the edges of being an independent contributor. Titles are really useless to me as long as I get to play with stuff I like to play with and it makes the company money. Win-Win I'd say.

    I make sure all Ethernet services (VoIP, Best Effort Data, and Switched Digital Video) operates with all a FTTH/FTTP network parts and pieces as it should before the product reaches telecom service providers. Also have been an instructor for a class in the MS in Telecommunications program at a local university.

    We are retired. My wife was a Registered Medical Technologist and was also the system manager for a lab computer system in the largest clinic in Indiana. I was a government manager with a degree in business and economics and a minor in math.

    Retired now, but I was Supervisor of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering for a a Turbine Engine -Turbine Compressor manufacturer. I am talking big equipment packages of around 15,000 to 20,000 BHP.

    A little premature perhaps, but I hope to order a Prius in the next couple of months.

    I started playing electronics in 1967. Moved into computing in the early '80s. Now work primarily with Oracle with a little scripting on the way. Major sectors were Health (USA), Utilities (power and gas), education and now logistics.
