    hey boss,

it's on eBay. just do a simple phev search. i think Jack is extremely busy because of the convention and he probaly building at least 4 of these units right now. I purchased a 4kw unit last week. He also gave me the $500 discount for being one of his test pilots. ask him about the discount before you make a purchase. I don't know if it is only for a limited number of people.

Thanks for the info. I did exactly what you said. ( I think)

I emailed Jack by the link on ebay, but have not had an email or phone reply.

    Is there a phone # ?

I did not have any luck finding phone contact info.

    Maybe he is just busy?

    Any suggestions?

    THANX...

    Hey,

I don't have a number. All the questions can be answered on the eBay listing. Are you buying it now because of the discount? I would of purchased without the discount; it is such a remarkable deal, if everything works out as advertised. You know, if you really want his attention, you can just buy it now on eBay and put a little clause there that you want to be a test pilot so please bill me with the discount, that's if he is still doing it. I think it was a first come first serve deal. His product has been very popular because it WORKS! And it is affordable. Hey, you plan to install it yourself? I plan to be one of his certified installers here in Los Angeles County. Ttyl.

Jack is really responsive. I purchased a 4KW last night. He will send you an invoice less the $500 for the pilot discount. I did pay an additional $500 to have it installed in LA during the conference on the 14th. I wonder if one of you is actually the one installing it for me. We have a 2008 Prius that we will actually drive there for the modification.

    hey,

that's good to hear. did he say that you would get your kit by then? that's pretty fast. i hope I can get mines before the convention. BTW, I won't be installing your kit. is that how much it cost to install them? I won't be charging that much when I become an installer. I'll let everybody know, soon. I am from the Los Angeles county, so keep my thread on your favorite list if you plan to get one and have no mechanical/electrical skills, which is like 99% of today's people...LOL.

Unfortunately, the Enginer Pack is for 2004-2009. You may able to modify but unsure.

It can also be installed in 2001/03 Prius, the DC/DC converter needs to be tweaked (higher up) in order to have the proper voltage into their battery pack.

Hey, listen; many people is talking and getting motivated to buy this "PHEV" modification equipment not because it works, (besides the point) it is because "IT IS CHEAP".
I will wait and see in a time frame of 4 to 6 months, after the results of all the first come, first serve purchasers for the saved and presented data for their investment in this type of conversion.
Do you Know that up to today there is not any tangible history on this equipment and the wonderful benefits it provides?

It was great to see Jack and the crew at Hybridfest Green Drive Expo and I plan to see them again out at Plug-In 2009 out in Long Beach in a few weeks.
Hopefully I'll see a few of you there as well.

Yeah, I talked to Jack this morning. I told him I might come to the August conference. My brother and I are interested in seeing the conversion installed maybe even become a certified installer for Salt Lake City, UT. He invited us to come on
August 14th to watch. Is that your car he will be working on Blazehoges? My 4KW kit is on the way. We don't know if we will have it before the 14th.

See you in August if so.

Yes, I was quoted $500. I have zero skills when it comes to installation, so I need to have someone like yourself do it haha.

I just heard about this kit yesterday and have been following all the different chatlines on it. I'll be ordering my home solar system and will not have to wait for Toyota to come thru with a more expensive (by far) plug-in. I had a Gen1, which I gave to my daughter so that I would be ready to convert to PHEV. Can anyone tell me why and how, it is now feasable to convert a Gen1?

    Hey,

I would definitely convert a Gen1 Prius if I had it. More mpgs is always a good thing. Plus, if you commute, you're going to benefit quickly, and you better do it quick before gas goes up--and it will. Plus, it only cost 2 grand plus installation fees, if your not going to do it yourself.

I got the general impression that it was not was doable for the Gen1.
And it appears that this kit works for both Gen1 and 2 with only a slight mod.

    Dear Hybrid Fans,

Thank you for your support for our new products. Sorry we are too busy to follow the chat to answer every question.

Our kits have been tested with Gen 1 and Gen 2. We are working on 2010 Prius and trying to bring the first Plugin 2010 Prius conversion kit to the market. Honda Civic Hybrid and Insight plugin kits are also under development.

Please visit our website Enginer | Prius Plugin PHEV Conversion Kit with Lithium-Ion | Hybrid and shot us an inquiry on Contact Us page if you can't find the answer on FAQ page.

We may have two installations during the week of the plugin conference, Aug 13 and Aug 14. We are looking for a shop so that more people can observe the installation. I will post it in the chat room once it is finalized. You are welcome to watch. The installation will be conducted by our west coast distributor 3Prong Power team (3Prong Power) who has very good reputation in the PHEV conversion industry.

    Thanks again for your support.

I just got 91.2 MPG with the 4KW kit; I did 12 freeway miles at 61mph followed by 4 city miles at 45mph. I installed the kit by myself, it was really easy to install.

    hey boss,

can you drive it at about 70mph? we need real, reality driving data here. drive it on the freeway at 70mph until it runs out of juice, and then report your results. I think people would be more incline to see this kind of data. Thanks buddy.

    Hey eddiem...whats up!!!

So happy to see some prelim. data comming in:).
Did you drive until the battery was depleted or just some commuting? Please let us know. So far it looks as if it works like it is supposed to. Did your BMS alarm go off? Last question. Do you have to pull over to switch back to hybrid system?

    I'll wait your reply,

    Spamming !?!

Just a warning, I received an unsolicited PM from chenyj that is exactly:

Please visit www.enginer.us for affordable complete PHEV conversion kit for under $2000

    Jack
This has got to be the dumbest thing ever, sending a PM to everyone, for this product.

Smart thing to do - pay for banner on PC.

What a way to start, if you get banned by the #1 Prius forum.

    Sheesh.
