Got my new 2010 III in silver on Sunday, and thanks to it being a manager's demo with 3,400 miles on it already I was able to get a good deal on it too. But I would like to make sure that the documentation package (with the manuals, warranty info, extra FOB, etc.) was complete. For those of you who bought brand new, what came with your car?

There was more stuff than I've ever received with any car!

Off the top of my head, the major items were:
--2 key fobs & metal tag with key code
    --owners manual
    --warranty & maintenance manual
    --nav system guide
    --owners quick guide
    --nav system quick guide
    --basic operation guide
    --quick reference DVD
    --"valet instructions" card
    --rear view monitor description card
    --tire warranty doc

Not all dealers will give out the key number plates (because people lose them). But you should still receive the key number itself and if you ever need to have a key made go to the nearest Toyota Parts dept with your ID and vehicle registration and they can make it for you.

So there's nothing special about the key number plate other than the number, correct? I can just enter the number into my computer in case I do lose the plate and I'm all set?

Toyota didn't give out a leather binder right?

The manual binder is provided by the dealer. My salesman told me that since the 2010 had such a big stack of documentation, they had to special order portfolios. Unfortunately, they're tacky red plastic.

I got a manufacturer's pamphlet about the tires, but I didn't get anything about the specific tires on my car -- i.e., the brand, type, size, and the number of miles/years that they are warranteed for. Is there supposed to be such a document?

I didn't get any type of binder, but it doesn't really matter as it all just sits in the glove box.

Yet some got upset because the glove box wasn't lined like Gen II.

Mine came with a green vinyl binder that fits everything in a couple inside pouches--Toyota name embossed in white as well as a recycle icon in the lower right. Looks fairly good. Nothing that seems specific to the dealer. Maybe it's a SET item.

I wound up with two portfolios. They are classy looking black leather(ette?) stamped with "Toyota" on the front. I keep all the reference manuals in one in the rear stowage area and keep the second one with service book and service tickets in the glove box.

Some people have all the luck :D !

I got a plastic binder that isn't large enough to hold all the manuals. Some were in the pocket and the rest were just sitting loose.

Still waiting to hear whether other people received specific tire warranty information.

Yes, mine has a Yokohoma insert, no others, same as on the car. I've had other cars where they stuffed 3 or 4 different brochures, even though I did not have the other brands.

Yes, I did get the Yokohama pamphlet. But it doesn't say anything about the specific tires on the car, such as the tire brand, size, and for how long and how many miles they are warranteed.

Same here FL/SET car. Cheap green binder - Toyota stamped in white ink. Toyo tire warranty info included with all other manuals.

OK, but not bowled over. Guess the green is supposed to match the icon of Prius - but the icon/badge is now blue. But it all fits in the glovebox which is OK by me. Odd that Toyota / Toyota USA leaves the documents folder up to the region...

That's because, basically, all you have is a warranty on defects in original material and workmanship, covered until it's worn to 2/32. No road hazard, no mileage, no etc., etc. Look at the list of exclusions in that 4 or 5 panel Yokohama insert--it's basically "driving"! ;) The days of those other warranties are gone unless you buy a tire warranty package.

I received a Toyo Tires warranty doc, and one from Bridgestone/Firestone for the compact spare.
