So, I was able to install the factory cruise control on my 2008 Base. I spent less than $150 when the dealer wanted $300-$450 for an aftermarket install because Toyota did not have an option for this... yeah right!

Anyways, now installed, I'm running without a cruise control cover. This is the cover on the right of the steering wheel that you pop-out and where the cc lever comes out of. My request and question is...

Could someone be so kind to get some dimensions of their stock-cruise-controled-Prius to see where and how big I should make the whole on the cover?

I would really appreciate it and will pay a hefty sum of 1 trillion Zimbabwe dollars!!!

There is a cover that costs only a few bucks that you can order. I've got the part number.

I had a question for you, though. The replacement brake light switch you used... did it connect directly to the connector that the original switch did?

I ask because I ordered the parts recently and just tried to install the brake switch I was sent. The connector is different than the connector in the car. The part number I ordered was superseded by the part I was sent, which appears to be incorrect.

I've tried searching the forums but can't find the exact post I used. I will call the dealership tomorrow and ask them which part number I bought. But wiat, do you mean the cruise control switch that hooks up to the steering wheel or the brake light switch that goes right below the steering wheel column?

That cover part number, does it already have the hole or is it like the factory part where you need to cut the hole yourself?
