I can confirm that I have a UK car and my dealer has changed the reverse beep to a single beep FOC.
They couldn't do it on the PDI as my car was the first they'd had and they hadn't worked out how to use the software but when I took it back a few days later they fixed it in less than 5 minutes.
I had requested this be done when I originally ordered the car - it wasn't a "post-delivery" request.

I've also asked for the beebing to be set a single beeb, hopefully at PDI.
With luck, by the time I pick mine up in Sept :)cheer2:), my dealer will be fully up to speed with the software, etc..

    Hey thanks for the update!

That's great to hear, my dealer didn't have a clue about it. Did they charge you to change it?

Just had it confirmed by Toyota that the reverse beep has been changed to a single beep for delivery tomorrow. Sanity will remain. (ish)

Tried to get mine done today, but the workshop was busy, and they didn't know how to do it yet.

The "Prius Guy" is going to find out how to do it, and I'm booked in again for next Monday.

    Fingers crossed :)

I'd like this done as well. Can anyone post on what page or document the technician should be looking at to do this?

Picking mine up on Thursday - very excited. I've yet to see one on the road yet, I suppose most will hit on the 1st September. I just couldn't wait.

Glad to report that reversing silence is golden - got the mod done today :cheer2:

Just wanted to point out that it never bothered me in the Gen II for 3 years - but the Gen III was sooo much louder it just had to be done!

Actually I just picked up my T-Spirit and the dealer gave me the same spiel: Seatbelt beeping can NOT be changed.

They did switch the reverse beeping to a single beep though, so I can't complain too much...

Hey buddies across the pond, any of you pick up mud guards for your cars? Perhaps you could share a good dealer that might consider shipping here to the USA some of those guards?

Thanks and sorry for hijacking the thread,
    Peter
