My wife parks our car next to a low rail and I just know my kids are gonna bash/scrap the door edges so I want to protect them.
I found one place online but their shipping was crazy expensive.

If you know of a place to get them I would appreciate it.

Yup! Right here on Priuschat - under the Shop tab:
    PriusChat Shop : 2010 Toyota Prius Body Side Moldings [FE-PRI10] - $122.00

Any chance of putting protection on the rail it self?

My experience is that you end up with dirt, sand and grit in those molding channels that really eats away at the paint, creating more of a problem. I'm with LRKingII on this one; I'd attack the other side of the problem.

    I recommend SigmaAuto http://http:www.sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius/nhw20_ext.php

I purchased from them and you are able to contact them and get a response.

I cannot recommend anyone purchasing anything from PriusChat shop, even if they are owned by the forum.

    1) The only way you can contact them is thru an e-mail address which is not answered. (the last message I sent was responded to 2 weeks later- with no information).
    2) I purchased a BT Tech Strut on June 1, 2009 and still have not received it. Yes, my credit card was charged immediately.
    3) I did get a response from a message I sent in this forum, telling me to contact the manufacturer myself. I did and was promised delivery more than 2 weeks ago. Still no strut or message.
    4) I sent PruisChat Shop a message requesting my money back. Still no response.
    5) About 5 weeks after ordering the strut I knew there was trouble. I received a box with 2 strut bars with no other hardware. Worthless. I do not want to pay $50 to $60 to return the box, but I will if they send me a paid label.
    6) I tried to go thru Paypal for help, but they would not help.
    7) I have contacted my credit card company who told me they will help me get my money back, but it will take 6 to 8 weeks.
    8) Please don't tell me you have had a good experience with this company. That means nothing. I have also purchased other items from them and had no trouble. There is not excuse for any company to treat folks this way.
    9) Please do not support a company who will not even comminicate with you, after they have accepted your money ($280+).

I would agree that the OP is looking for door edge molding, not the body side molding that Maggie referred to.

Body Side Molding, Truck Molding, Car Molding, Vinyl Trim

Any AutoZone, Pep Boys, or WalMart auto department will carry rolls of the stuff for just a few bucks each.

Have you tried sending Danny (the site founder) an email directly? I cannot imagine that he would try to 'rip you off', although what you are describing almost sounds like that (If it were another Toyota Dealer, I am sure that folks would be calling them on it). If this does not help, then I would re-post that portion of your post somewhere else on this site (give him a few days to reply). We would like to hear how this turns out, so please keep us up-to-date.

eglmainz - Thank you for your response. I have tried every way I can to get in touch with these folks and get a response. It has been 68 days since I placed my order. I believe I have been more than patient, trying to be respectful of the terrible loss of the BT Tech owner, which I feel badly about. However, it is time for me to move on and for PriusChat Shop to honor their committment they made with me when they took my money. I have posted this same information in all related posts to make other folks aware. I cannot beleive that Danny has not read my posts.

Danny- Please refund my money and send a paid label so I can immediately return the 2 strut bars. I know longer wish to purchase the BT Stut.
