I got a pop-up from Firefox promoting the latest version, 3.5.

Does anybody have any opinions or thoughts? Download it now? Wait a while?

I like my old version of Firefox 2.0.0.20. I tried upgrading to the newest version and some of my bookmarks disappeared to who knows where. I just like the looks of the old version better.

Im using it and its good.It has private browsing features which I think are new.
I added on NoSquint which lets you set zoom levels to each website you visit.
Now Prius Chat fills my 22" monitor ,and fonts are huge.

I like it. It feels a bit faster than the previous 3.0.13 version I was using on XP SP3.

I'm kinda like blippo....I upgraded a long time ago to Firefox 3 and ended up deleting it and going back to 2,0.0.20. It's no longer supported, but it's still the most hammerproof browser IMHO.

We had a lot of bugs in FFX3 that they hadn't worked out in it yet, so we changed back to get a fully functional browser again. :)

I like it, except I haven't found a way to clear cache only (you have to clear your cache, history, and worst of all, cookies all at once). But it IS noticeably faster so I think it's worth it.

Steve, in v3.5.2 just go to tools, options, privacy, settings, and ONLY click cache and uncheck the others. That will do cache only when you exit the browser.

I keep getting page load errors on the machine with 3.5. It acts like a server didn't respond, then I click "Try Again" and it works fine. Never happens on this machine, which is still running 3.0.

I know. But I don't want to clear the cache EVERY time I quit; just whenever I'm about to run a virus scan.

I upgraded and lost functionality on some plugins (opendownload, for example). So be aware and you may try to have two seperate installations of Firefox, your older one and new 3.5 in the different install folder.

Thanks, everyone. I think I might wait a bit and download it after the first few bug fixes have come out. I'm pretty happy with 3.0.13.

FWIW, Firefox 3.5.2 is out for Mac OSX. I haven't had time to explore it as yet, so this post is but a heads-up.
