Anyone know of any door edge guards for the 2010 Prius? I need a pair for the rear doors. Either custom made or universal that are easily bendable to the right shape. The hard part is that I would like white or clear, rather than black or grey.

I don't see any from Toyota offhand. I don't mind using cheapos from a local auto parts store, but if you have tried some that work, please let me know which ones and where you bought them. Thanks!

I'm thinking of trying some sort of edge guard on the bottom of the door...like weatherstripping.
I can't stand the dust, dirt rain etc that mucks up the door sills...

Most auto parts stores sell door edge molding packs, and I've seen black, silver and gold, large and small size.

I have paint matched port installed door edge guards. They are very nice, but I wasn't about to pay the $125 mark-up for them, so I got them for free. :)

All the dealers in the NW said they did not exist. Can you post a pic? Thanks.

The wife has the car for a small road trip today. Will post them tomorrow. GST region offers them as a port installed option for $125, or for $150 installed at the dealer. Seems pretty steep to me, but perhaps you could persuade your dealer to contact a GST dealer to order them for you.

door edge guard, you mean to protect your door if you open it against a wall or something?

If so, you can get clear ones for under $10, I put them on my mom's white 2009 Solara convertible - it's a no-brainer.

Thanks for the link. For now, I picked up the $2.99 cheapo at Advance Auto Parts. They had pricier ones, but I got the two 36" clear strips and cut one in half. 18" was long enough to cover the key segment of both rear doors. Doesn't look great, but about as inconspicuous as I nee until I see some of these others or Toyota releases a color matched one.

Mostly for when my kids open it into my van in our garage. Offers a little protection for the van, too...

If the curb is high enough (easy to happen given how low the car sits to the ground), it'll hit smack dap on the small area that the "rock chip" film occupies.

But I agree it doesn't explain why the front doors lack them

I have the Blizzard White Pearl color and the dealer got white door guards for all four doors for me for $125, installed. They look good and prevent the door edge paint chipping that I got on my 4Runner. I think these look good and match nicely - highly recommended!

Alternatively, you can pick up some of the 3M (or other manufacturer) paint protection (ClearBra) film and apply a small strip over the door edge. I had this done when I had the front of my car covered and it is nearly invisible. Wraps and covers the entire door edge. Numerous vendors of paint protection film on E-Bay. I'd get 3M or something similar with clear coat.
