I'll have a set of the blank covers available as well, assuming my fog lights fit in as planned. Parts won't be in for about a week, and then have to find time to install. But pictures to follow and blank covers available for the asking then.

I still have not received the parts I ordered. I was hoping to have it for this weekend. Oh well.

I'd love an extra set of blanks to use a plug to try to make alternatives to the boring gray monsters they gave us - may carbon fiber, paint-ready fiberglass, or even smooth plastic pieces.

Not sure what you're trying to say there. Yeah, those blinglights won't mount in anything - they're the wrong ones for both vehicles. Part numbers for the light assemble (NOT the cover) are the same for Yaris, Camry, and Prius. But I'll tell you what... you should NOT order them, not at all. I will, however - already have, in fact. And when they work out for me, I'll go right ahead and share that knowledge with you despite the 'tude. And on the off-chance that you're right, you can say I told you so then.

Where did you find the part number for the Gen3 is the same as the Camry & Yaris? Can you post it?

The picture shows the Yaris/Camry assembly will not fit nor mount in the Gen3. The so call Gen3 assembly from Blightlight will not mount due to missing tabs but correct lens shape.

This thread has confused the heck out of me :) Did we figure out a very cheap option for perfectly looking fog lights, or do we need to order the OEM stuff? And did we figure out if the wiring for the fog lights is already ran in the bumper?

We'll know soon enough - at least two of us have the parts on order already, so we'll post results when they come in. The part number information was based on one poster who had a dealer successfully install them in a GenIII, combined with readily available reference material for the other two vehicles. Once I've installed them, I'll post photos and parts list.

We're working on it... several people are pursuing several different approaches currently and we'll have some results soon. Right now, it appears that the wiring exists from the stalk to the fuse box and the relay is present in the fuse box. But it appears that the last leg of the wiring, from the fuse box to the bumper, will have to be run fresh. As I said, we'll know more over the next few weeks as some of us actually finish the job. If the approach I'm working on pans out, we will be able to get factory looking fogs, with the correct stalk-mounted switch, for about $240-$250. Others are pursuing an approach with an aftermarket switch mounted in one of the blank dashboard holes and that approach could get the cost down to the $125-$135 ballpark. More to come, stay tuned...

you seem to be misinformed, and that could only lead to confusion when you make a post like that.

The bling light kits has nothing to do with the prius in terms of an oem look or fit. The oem part number is available and verifiable from many sources. It has been posted in this thread many times as well. The picture that was posted looked exactly like the one in the 2010 prius repair manual. The bling lights however does not. There is even a thread on it from someone who ordered it and said that it could not be installed in any realistic way.

I am the one who is taking the cheapest route by installing OEM look alike switch on the dash that is included in aftermarket fog kit for Yaris.

Like I said in the previous post, this kit comes with complete wiring harness with relay so it should be easiest and cheapest to install. But wouldn't be 100% factory look since package V has the foglight switch on the headlight dimmer switch.

I ordered the foglight kit on ebay and it will be here next tuesday. However the issue we are running into now is that OEM covers/trim for 2010 Prius is not in stock at most dealers. Not sure how long it will take before I get these parts. But atleast I should be able to post pictures and resport the quality of fog lamps and I might even be able to wire it with switch mounted to see if works.

I think others who have doubts or confused should just wait for few weeks. Hopefully we can lay out two routes people can follow by then.

ok, i am back from vac.! I will post the connector part #s asap as the dealer needs to install them(they fabricated a couple as i was in a hurry) . The relay location will be posted as well. If you want factory parts the final cost will be about 600-700 dollars(ouch) i spent a bit more as i was the test dummy here)the tech once he found that the wiring and everything was present had put in a couple hours of time. Really a two hour(maybe three) job.i apologize if all this has been discussed, just pulled in from a 4000 mile trip in the new prius and havent had a chance to read all the posts. More later

I know it's not totota parts, but my wife's Suzuki fog light switch looks like a perfect fit for one of the blanks near the dash light dimmer.

Just out of curiosity, is it "on it's way" from City of Industry, CA? If so, then it is almost certainly the identical Winjet kit sold by Conquest Auto - they drop ship via FedEx Ground from a warehouse in City of Industry, CA. We should definitely compare notes upon arrival and make sure we note the cheapest source for future reference. Mine will be in tomorrow, probably late afternoon EDT, and I'll post photos/info as soon as they arrive. Unfortunately, no ETA on the covers yet though, so I won't be able to do any mounting :(

    What year and model Suzuki?

Yes, city of industry, CA. I will get mine today and if so, expect to see pictures by tomorrow. No words on foglight cover though. I am afraid it might needs to be shipped out of factory in Japan. But then it's a fast moving parts (dealer term to describe frequently replaced parts such as front area collision parts or maintanance parts like filters and brake parts)

She had a 2004 XL-7 - I'll try to measure the switch and take a picture. I had to clean her car Sunday and noticed it was very similar. I figure Denso, or someone, makes switches for so many manufactures, it is probably cheaper for Toyota to develop around standardized switches than to have customs ones made for a common car.

Hmmm... I was going through what I have of the repair manual and it looks like the replacement of the headlight stalk might require removal of the steering wheel. (Which also requires some special tools). this is indeed bad news if true. I do not have complete information on this procedure from the repair manual.

Does anyone have info regardign the replacement of the headlight stalk? Can anyone confirm if the steering wheel has to be removed?

    Thanks.
