Pimping out the Prius to show "I'm not gay!"

If you really want to rib them them, wait until the wives / girlfriends are around and brag how much money your saving on gas driving the Prius. Then make a point that because of the Prius you now have so much more money that can be spent on "YOUR" Wife / girl friend or both if your a brave man.

Nothing will set a women off faster than when they realize their MAN is wasting money on gas that could that could be spent on them.

Yeah, what's up with that? I had a friend ask me if I were gay when I informed him I got a Prius. How did it gain a reputation as a gay car, much like how the VW Beetle is considered a girlie car? Hopefully the 17" wheels will slowly change that perception.

btw the notion of an inanimate object having a sexual orientation of any type strikes me as fodder for a caption contest. Any graphic artists out there wanna get this one 'rolling?'

Seriously, gay cars? come on. Now, cars targeted to or popular with one gender or another (think lime-green VW beetle or super-size diesel dualie *not* bought for utility purposes, that's another issue. And I know some gays who own big, burly-nice person trucks, for whatever reason. But all that's a matter of personal preference. Sexual orientation is not a choice; bigotry is, as is ignorance, though perhaps less so. And I second other posters in that there are plenty of big, knuckle-dragging oafs (oaves?) who happen to fall on the "gay" side of the fence. I believe they're called "bears."

Good suggestion except he would NEED to be spending that extra money on his significant other which may be worse than the ribbing from his co-workers. Then he'd be teased and broke.

 

Actually the Prius doesn't even make the top ten list of gay cars. If you want to be a successful gay professional, you should get an Audi A4.

Ha, yeah and make sure to get the really big dually maps flaps such that the added air resistance will bring down your MPG. That way your friends will have less to be jealous about and leave you alone. If that doesn't work beat the *!!! out of them (as mentioned before).

I guess everyone is different... I'm not gay, but would consider it a huge compliment if someone said my car looked gay. Most are very meticulous and discerning.

You might want to be careful about how much you "pimp your ride". It might turn out looking like a "gangsta" drug dealer. Then you'll have to deal with being teased about being a thug.

If I may offer some final advice, the car isn't the problem.

 

Two cars ago I felt my car was not gay enough. So I put neon underneath it (glow effect), tinted the windows and smoked out the tail lights.

 

I've heard it countless times from the guys at work. "Oh how special. You drive a Priuuuus."

And then I say, "Yep. And I can go over 500 miles on 10 gallons of gas."

Shuts em' up every time.
