Hi! I now proudly own a 2010 Prius III, and it's awesome to drive. I want to protect it, though. Has anyone had success in ordering a custom dash mat? I've not seen posts offering advice beyond going to a local fabric or carpet store (in which case the ends and side might easily unravel). What have some of you done to protect your dash? Thank you! Rickcincy

Using a heat shield and cracking your windows (when weather allows) will go a long way in protecting your dash. It is the changing temperature inside the car, not the sun's rays that will ultimately damage your dash. Living in TX (and you in AZ), I find it a must to use my heat shield and crack the windows!

Oh, and congrats on your new Prius!!

I'm happy with the one I got from Dash Designs. I got the Ocean Blue color and we think it looks cool in our Blizz. It's a carpet-like material that lays nicely and covers the entire dash, which as you know, is a large area. The only thing that I did to 'customize' the fit was to cut just about an inch off of the part of the mat that extends into the instrument cluster area, as the nap slightly obscured the very bottom of the display. You can't tell it was done and it was an easy job that did the trick. Plus, it's made of recycled plastic bottle material; I'd recommend it. Oh, and we use the heatshield as well, another great product.

Thanks very much for your nice and helpful reply! :tea:I just checked the Dash Design Web site and did not see where I could specify ordering a dash mat for a 2010 Prius. The dash mat for my 06 Prius, identical inside to the 2009 Prius, poorly adapts to my 2010. What did you do when ordering to get one to fit your 2010 Prius extremely well? Thanks again. Hi rickcincy,

I ordered it through 'Autoanything' and the info is:

    Dash Designs Carpet Dashboard Cover
Color/Style Ocean Blue Vehicle 2010 Toyota Prius Submodel All Prius models Part #2945-0COB SKU 3559582

It was $40 with free shipping.

I'll reccomend Dash Designs also. I had their velour mat on my 2004 and now on my 2010 II. Even though they do not show up on their website they are available. We even bought their neoprene front seat covers. Order online, and when they're ready make an appointment and they will install mats or seat covers for free!

RadioCycle - Any chance of posting a picture of how your dash looks with the new cover? AutoAnythings site shows another cars dash, not a prius. Thanks!
