Hi F8L, hope you can play with computer in recovery. Enjoy the food :)

If somebody can smuggle in a big bottle of hot chili sauce (half-full) please do so. If will freak out the nursing staff.

Good luck F8L. While some people fight for their lives, others are trying to end theirs. The mind is very powerfull.

Thank you all for the great posts and well wishes! It really means a lot to me to know that such wonderful people are pulling for me. :)

I stayed in the hospital for 5 days recovering from the surgery but after 2 days at home I ended up dehydrated and in a lot of pain so I went back to the emergency room and stayed another 2 days before I was able to eat on my own again and get the pain and nausea under control. In all, my stay there was not pleasant despite having 2 really hot nurses. Rest assured I did try to flirt with them but having tubes sticking out of you and a couple bags and bottles that need to be drained of rather gross fluids really tosses salt on one's game... My friends thought it was funny to bring me smut magazines and I'm sure that didn't help either.

After the surgery and pathology report my cancer was upped to a stage 3 rating. They found cancer cells in my lymph nodes (local) but the CT scan showed nothing of tumor size anywhere else in my body which balances the bad news. I think.

I was told by the surgeon that I would only have to have the ileostomy bag for about 1.5 months and then we would remove it and I would go back on chemo for what I thought would be a 6-week cycle like the last time. Wrong....... I talked to my oncologist and he thinks waiting an extra month to heal from the ostomy reversal surgery is too long and he wants me on chemo ASAP AND the chemo cycle will be 6 months, not 6 weeks. To complicate matters I will be using a strong cocktail of chemo than I used last time so I'm not sure how this will affect me and how hard it will be to work during the cycle. So I'll be stuck with the bag AND the chemo for 6-7 months. Fuuuunnnnnnnn..... :D

Ahh well. Enough of the bad stuff. I'm at work now and feel better being productive than just sitting at home and living off of other people's taxes (state disability). Besides, I have my hot Romanian girl that comes visit me, comfort me, and help me. With that and so many wonderful friends here and living near me who in their right mind would complain about anything. Life is too wonderful to spend it bitching and whining! :)

Welcome back!! Sorry they had to upgrade your staging, but I think it's the right choice to jump on the chemo ASAP. It's time to kick this thing's nice person. Then a "Thank you" visit, complete with chocolate and flowers to your hot nurses will be in order!!

You guys/girls make me smile. :)

It is never my intent to gather sympathy or play the role of an attention wh%re. Instead, I feel this is a good release and if it can help even one of you in some way then all this pain is worth it. Like Tim McGraw sang, "Live like you were dying".... :)

Welcome Back and we are all thinking about you and wishing you good thoughts each day. I love the SMUT magazine trick at the hospital...

Live each day to the fullest and hoping you do well on your next round of chemo.. your in our thoughts and you will fight this and win! Keep positive ....it means a lot too!:)

I have a close friend and she 3 bouts of cancer over 15 years the last being Pancreatic...and she is doing quite well considering that...you know the drill, be diligent and determined and she is 3 years after her Pancreotomy and still doing fairly well given all she has been through....Keep the faith!

Nobody thinks you're being an "attention whore". A whore of another kind maybe, but not the first!
But rest assured, many of us do think of you often and some of us with the power to do so toy with the idea of finding those PCD phone lists and calling. But we want to give you your time and respect your privacy as much as you need us to.

At the same time, we're hungry to hear how you're doing and to be your cheerleader:cheer2: in those times you need a bit of extra encouragement. 'Course, you have all those pictures of hot girls on your various vehicles for encouragement...so you probably don't need us!;)

    Love ya man.

Cheers and good wishes. Sorry about the 6 month thing. Will that be long enough to learn Romanian?
