After looking for a few weeks in June and then deciding on a dealer and model, I put a deposit down on 6/26. Then, as a lot of you know, the waiting game started. "All we can do is put in our preferences and wait each month to see if we get it." It got to feeling like just a line they were feeding me.

I had checked with a few dealers before putting my deposit down and thought of putting a deposit down at more than one of them like some others here have, but I decided not to. And I waited, and I called and I waited some more. I felt like I was making myself a big pain it the a-- if you know what I mean. But I kept on top of them.

Yesterday, a dealer I did not even have a deposit with called and said "We have you car." I didn't believe them and asked them to describe it to me.... what do you know, it matched!!! (You would not believe how many calls I did get from other dearlers that said they had my car, but it was not what I wanted in one way or another.)

I went this morning to fill out some paperwork and give them a check for a deposit and she should be here around the 25th. My Belle du Soleil, blizzard pearl IV with dark charcoal interior and solar package and 17" wheels, is on her way home.. I'm beyond thrilled and it was so worth it; waiting for just what i wanted.

I have the VIN and remember seeing a thread about how to track her en route. I'll be looking for that now.

Thanks for listening. I know ya'all understand. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Didn't know you could special order the 17 inch wheels OEM from Toyota on a IV (SR). Hmmm! Congrats on the new car.

Nice!! Sounds like my son's dream car. He was really disappointed in me for not getting the one that has 17" wheels. My "cool mom" points went way down on that one. ;)

It's not OEM. SET (Southeast Toyota) can add non-OEM 17" wheels at the port for $1,699. OEMs would cost twice as much.
