My dealer showed 6 Prius's in inventory as of yesterday. It seems inventories may be coming back up since C4C ended. We bought ours in the C4C program and it was the last one on the lot on 8/5.

I wouldn't own the Prius if not for the C4C deal. It was a great opportunity to get rid of our '94 Jeep which had a transmission oil cooler leak and slight leaks at the crankshaft seals. It was worth approximately $1700 on a trade and we got the $4500 C4C deal. That "effectively" got us nearly 10% off the price of the Prius. :D

Ditto...only my Jeep was a '97. (Another reason was that we have been able to use the wife's '07 to replace her previous Jeep SUV for lugging stuff around...and the '10 is bigger !)

I agree if it were not for the CFC I wouldn't have bought one neither. I probably would have bought another truck. I am happy I bought the Prius, no regrets. Dealer lots in my area are starting to get more deliveries as well, it should drive that paying sticker crap down

I'm another purchaser who was presented with and took advantage of the opportunity. I would have lived with my 14 MPG 2000 Durango but for the C4C program; although I made my purchase outside the C4C program.

I'm still getting accustomed to being in a smaller, lower car, but loving the Prius. --TK

The C4C just pushed up my purchase by two to three months.

I also would still be driving my 2000 Isuzu Rodeo if not for C4C. Instead, I am loving my 2010
    Prius II.

Interesting. I did the C4C thing for a Prius as well, but coincidentally got a call today from a different dealer I had tried during my search. Said they had gotten one in that was a demo model that I could come drive if I wanted though it wouldn't be for sale yet.

I don't know that inventory is actually back up, though. I did a lot of searching for my Prius during C4C, and almost everyplace showed online that they had them, and many had them sitting on their lots, but the problem was finding ones that weren't already sold. (This guy that called me today for example let me sit in one on the lot while he went inside to check and see if it was sold yet, then came out with bad news.) So not sure how clear you are that the ones appearing now are actually available.

Good point, they could be spoken for.

But it was clearly the C4C deal that decimated dealer inventories everywhere, and not just for hybrids.

I suspect the dealer inventories will be returning to something more normal relatively quickly.

Although the 2010 Prius will probably still be in high demand for some time, even without the C4C deal.
