Don't they know what they're selling?

I tool my Prius in for an oil change and a tire rotation today.

While waiting, I strolled through the showroom and noticed a used 2009 Prius all buffed up and ready to go out on the floor. It looked to be a base model with all the options but for leather seats.

But the window sticker said it was a Touring model -- even though it had 15-inch wheels and the small spoiler, and didn't have "Touring" badges..

I pointed this out to three different sales people. One merely grunted at me, one said he'd tell somebody and a third said that the sticked was printed from information supplied from some national source.

I also strolled the lot and saw two 2010s, both base models, both with the dreaded $2,000 "market adjustment" stickers.

I sure hope you are getting a great price on their service, as I would hate to be supporting their sales force!

It always seems that if a place has good service the sales dept. is a ripoff and if the sales dept. is good the service dept. is either a ripoff or inept.:fencing:

A small point; there has never been an OEM "Touring" badge on the Prius.
Some folks have added after-market badging from other Toyota models,
    or even other brands.
