    Just ordered a Alpine W505 double Din unit with Nav module and Bluetooth module. I am using alpine beacause I have a active crossover I want to use for the system. Now just waiting for the parts to come in but I have not amps yet. I have not decided yet. Great job on your install though. Nice fit.

    Wow, this piece costs over 100 bucks! It is just plastic right?
    I may just wait a few months for an after market piece, that should only cost 20 bucks or so.

    Very expensive indeed. It is more like $80. But I am pretty sure that the Metra or other aftermarket kits will not be able to replicate the texture of the console. I have had lots of experience with those install kits and most of them never match at all and never fit quite perfectly as the OEM trims. But yes for $20 to $30 some may not mine having a slightly off color around the radio.

    Keep in mind - this part is for OEM 200mm x 100mm units. Most Best Buy/ Crutchfield etc will be 180mm x 100mm (the standard, and the one Frenchie installed).

    There will be OEM plastics at some point, we know not when...

    i buy a alpine 114bti but i havent the damn surround plastic!

    I gotta think you are dreaming if you think someone will produce a single din specific to the Prius III. Why????????? 2Dins cost the same, and have more features. 1 Dins - some use a motor to move the screen up - but that's just another thing to break - and IMHO looks kinda cheesy (for a spot where you don't have the room - it makes sense).

    If you have a 1Din and are waiting - sell it. There are some really cheap Chinese things with no GPS out there - DVD support, and cost less than $300....

    Depends... what HU are you planning on?
    kamick81 just upgraded his JBL V with a Pioneer and had to buy a special PAC SWI.
    Other than that the parts should be the same.

    I called Metra and they said the 2010 Prius is the next kit that is coming out. They said they have been working on it for some time and it's on the top of their list but could not give me a release date. :(
