    Over the Labor Day holiday it rained and the temps were a bit cooler, so I took advantage of that to finish up some electrical work in the garage where I will eventually plug in the car. The top box is a CAT5 network connection for the future installation of a Watt's Up SmartCircuit 20, to be located in the white box just below. Below that is a GFI protected 20A, 120v circuit, with a load-monitored 20A recepticle next to it. The bottom outlet is an L14-30, twist-lock 30A, 240v 4 pole recepticle. Now for the plug on the car...

    Nice find about the Smart Circuit 20, a very interesting and economic product for point of usage locations, like in the case of the PHEV electrical supply.
    I will give it a try.
    Twist lock connectors are a great thing for this applications, I have one on my car since few years now and never failed, Marinco brand

    Yes, that's correct. It's around 20-25 miles worth of electric in all-electric-mode depending on your vehicle speed and how you drive. Since the PICC conversion uses the HEM (hybrid energy manager from ewertenergy.com) you'll always use as much electricity as the vehicle can.

    Obviously 55+ MPH highway electric-only speeds will decrease how far you get on a charge due to increased wind resistance.
