So does the 09 Prius come with a fog light switch(button) or is the switch located on the light stalk? I've tried searching but came up with useless info about not getting the factory fogs, hid upgrade, etc. Everything but the answer. I am planning on running Hella Micro DE fogs but am trying to make the wiring look stock. Any info would be great.

    Thanks.

It's on the same stalk as the headlight control.

That don't match the color of the HID headlights.

And won't turn on the fog lights without the headlights, so you still get the enhanced backscatter halo...

Now how would a Halogen bulb suppose to match the color of a HID bulb? Common sense says they never will match.

In all US cars, this is the case. You cannot turn on the fogs without the headlights if the fogs are OEM stock. Research before trolling.

Thanks for trolling and posting info that does not pertain to the question I asked.

    Re. Lax.

Jokes concerning the utility (or lack thereof) of the fog lights are numerous.

Your question had already been answered before the jokes began.

Wow. Someone's shorts are too tight. :D

One of the common misconceptions from new posters is that a thread belongs to the OP. Eventually you realize that you may start a thread, but what happens after that is out of your control. Usually it's best to sit back and enjoy the ride.

They are decorative lights, so they should match for best effect.

No, jokes are fine. I have been on many forums. And mainly I view a forum as a source of information for DIYer's. But when you use the "Search" on this forum for anything regarding foglights, all you really get are bs comments about the nonfunctionality of the stock units. It becomes annoyingly redundant.

Numerous they are. Posted all over this forum, they are. Thats why they are...not funny and are annoying. I think everyone understands the stock units are useless, so why press the issue unless you are only doing so to be seen/heard like a 5 year old child?

Did we mention that the stock foglights are woefully inadequate?

Not only that, but they don't work very well either.

Come back and complain again after you have about 9,000 more postings. You can't imagine how many times we answer the same questions, explain the same concepts, and listen to the same gripes. It all comes with the territory. Joking is the only way to stay sane, and avoid taking pot shots at annoying posters.
