That's what they said $142.45 for the next year if I don't cancel. I already have the date marked on my 2011 calender. I hope to get a better rate at that time.

Yea but after 6 months you will probably have to pay the $150 something per year equivalent. I'd rather have a year locked in for a good price. Plus you might have to pay a $15 reconnection fee, which puts you darn near at the $77 rate.

Well $30 + $60 = $90 for a year, definitely more than the $77 plan and you might have to pay that $15 fee on top of that. I can see how if someone isn't into XM all that much, they might wanna go your route. I listen to XM almost exclusively so it makes more since for someone like me to lock in a year's worth of service. Either way, come renewal time is when we will all have to bargain.

well, actually, if i cant at least get the $77 for a year offer, i will consider dumping. i am new to XM so i will see how i like it and like i said, only listen to it when with family. when alone its i pod 100%

TO LATE!!! For me, anyway. Everyone else should pay attention.

Nice deal -- but $59.86 is more like 77.7% of the $77 deal I got (or about 22% off of the other deal. No matter what, though, I'm jealous!

Absolutely the case. It worked well in mine. I don't know exactly how long it took, but within about 10 minutes time (and I was driving on a 45mph road with stoplights).

Just wanted to note ... you cannot add "Best of Sirius" to the $77 deal ... I tried and wasn't able to after a lot of talk and finangling.

The $77 is XM everything. I am not a Stern fan so I am happy with just the music/comedy/news stuff. I also don't need Nav Radio as I drive 2 miles to work for my 3-11p shift. Rare traffic issues. I did get the $77 deal but man did they push for more and other stuff....repeat after me...$77 deal.

ok. that is what i thought. they did try to get me into the traffic thing for 3.99 a month, but dont need it. the Pri Nav has traffic, the VZ Nav has traffic. i can make do with that

?? Maybe I'm missing something, Dave, but when you say "Pri Nav has traffic" do you mean the traffic warning information on the navigation system in your 2010 Prius? If so, that data comes solely from XM. When my XM trial expired, I no longer received any traffic info.

oh really?? oh oh. bummer, thought it was part of the Nav. i guess i still have Nav with traffic on phone. that comes as part of a data bundle package so i kinda get it free, or i could say i pay for it and get something else free.

Yep, I think that's the case. I'd love to find out from someone that it is untrue, but then I'd need to find out why the icons went away (and came back as soon as XM started up again).

The traffic on your phone may be more up-to-date than the XM Traffic. I got it again only because I have a bit of urban driving going on now, and I thought I'd really look at whether it was giving me timely advice. I don't know that I'll keep it beyond November.

Hrmmm - an increasing number of navs have RDS built in - where they pick up traffic over *free* FM (????) Maybe this feature exists in the Toyota world (or it's blocked for marketing purposes)????

well kinda lucky in that we have free access to "511" which is traffic info for State of WA highways. only thing is they are not always timely on accident delays and the biggest reason is you have to call first.

i usually do when i driving somewhere to make an appointment and its more than a few miles down the freeway, but normally i dont. too bad we cant program 511 to call us

I had the $77 / year in my other car and it does renew at full rate but I called them and said I want to cancel as it was too expensive and the gave me another year. When the prius came up I asked about a better deal and they gave me 5 months for $19.99. I then changed my other one to the same deal.
They wanted a $2 extra fee to create an invoice. You can do this so they do not charge athe renewal automatically or you can give them CC and they will cahrge when the renewal starts. Either way you call back and get the same deal again.
Only bad news I see besides having to call them every 5 months is I could not add Traffic or Best of Sirius to the deal. I have heard of people adding them to $77 rate.

I've had mine for jsut over 2 months and haven't heard a peep from Sirius/XM yet. I got mine on the first day of C4C, so maybe it didn't get registered. But would it be working if it wasn't registered?

Don't worry! You'll hear from XM.

The XM should have been working at the factory, so it is POSSIBLE the dealer never notified XM of the date, but not likely. There is no reason to go running to XM. If the signal goes away and you have only the advertising, then a quick call with a request for the $77 deal, and you'll be in business within about 20 minutes.

Same here, don't know if I should call thinking maybe they think the car hasn't sold yet?
