Welcome Ray to the Chat Forum...I am too from Buffalo well Cheektowaga! :)

Took delivery of my 2010 - V on August 21st and am loving it.

What's not to love about almost 50 MPG and then some...:D

I love my car and if you have any questions, ask away.

Good: Mileage, Dependability, Technology, Service, Warranty of Hybrid Components plus much more..
Bad: I don't have any bad to really share...I have not experienced any "BAD" and this is my 2nd Prius, had a 1st Generation and now this and to me, the 3rd Generation is much nicer...

As with any car there are those simple things here and there they could have done better or moved this switch or whatever but all in all I am quite pleased...May I ask which dealer your buying from??

You can also PM me and we can chat more and share notes, or your welcome to see mine first hand and I can share notes...;)

Welcome Ray. I live in Largo, Florida but I came here from Cheektowaga back in 1986. I'll be in Buffalo next week visiting relatives. Hope it's not too cold yet.

And Ray, you'll LOVE your Prius. I can't wait to drive it up there. Since I have been in Florida I have always flown to Buffalo when it was time to visit relatives. This is the first time we are driving. Why? Because I just love driving this car. It's so much fun.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Holmesman,

Well if you have time in town, drop a note...We can compare notes on our PRII!

It's typical Cool nights, now, Tree's are changing and no frost yet!

I agree, Love Driving my Prius...Try to find reasons to run to the store etc... Not many cars have that distinction ;)

I'll do that Bobsprius. Since living in Florida, I really miss Autumn and all its colors. I'm hoping that the drive up there will be filled with lots of colorful foliage this time of year.

I'll let you know how the Prius did on mileage...

Sounds good, the colors are coming for sure, more in the southtowns but there here too, little by little. Drop a note when here and love to chat more. Drive safe and let me know how the MPG's did.

I am around 53MPG for average right now....back and forth to work and normal running around town mileage.

Ok, so here is my main concern about the prius, the motor turning off and on. Not only in the cold weather, I live in Angola but work in Cheektowaga myself. How does it perform for staying warm in the car, and how does the engine not have issues on/off/on/off, etc. Seems to me the oil would never protect the car properly.
