    These are Vibram 5-Finger shoes.
    Originally designed for things like rock climbing, kayaking, wading through rocky streams, etc., they are now becoming popular with runners, hikers, and anyone else that wants to feel like they are going barefoot, without the inherent dangers of going barefoot!
