Hi there, I have an '04 Prius w/ a nav system. The LCD seems to be working fine and does not have the usual "a/c not connected" or complete failure issues, but its touch inputs are misaligned.

For example, when I want to to hit a button I have to touch to the left of the button that I want to activate. Also the problem is worse on the left side of the screen, i.e the further left the desired button is on the screen the further left the "windage" adjustment must be. So basically the far right side of the screen is fine but the left side is way off.

Does anyone know of a hidden menu to calibrate the touchscreen? I have seen these on other devices, and you hit a target placed in various points on the LCD to align the touches to the screen. I have found a menu that is sort of a diagnosis for this problem, it just confirms the problem that I have but does not fix it. It shows a target that moves to where I touch but does not remedy the misalignment.
    Thank you.

The moving target is supposed to fix the alignment. I know of no other way to adjust it.

    Bump.

Am having the same problem in a '06 Prius w/Nav.

Where do I locate the "moving target" to perform a screen calibration? Thanks.

Here's access for the diagnostic menu and MFD alignment. I think what you're looking for show us at the 1 minute mark:

I've never had to mess with changing ours.

I was having trouble with my 2007 MFD touch screen, it was WAY out of alignment, mis-reading my touches on screen by several inches.

I use to have an old Compaq PDA that had a calibration function and figured that one had to exist for the Prius MFD, luckily a google search lead me to this link:

    2007 Prius - Easter Egg

Which gives you instructions on how to reach the "Diagnostic Menu" which many people have posted about. This 1st level menu has a "Display Check" but no actual calibration functions. LUCKILY there is 2nd level menu you can then reach called "Product Diagnosis Menu" (step by step instructions on how to access this menu are at the link above) and it is on that menu you can see the "Calibration" program which, like my old PDA, gives you crosshairs to tap to re-align the touch screen!

Once I was able to navigate to the screen (it took several tries as my touch screen was very much out of alignment) I was able access the program and fix my problem!

    Hope this helps others!

Does anybody know how to get to that 2nd level Product Diagnosis menu and the subsequent Calibration screen on a 3rd Gen? The instructions in the video do not work.

I am having the same problem but can’t get the touch to work to get to get to the screen with the arrows when you touch. Have you found a resolution?

I bought a used 2007 Toyota Prius with Navi the touch screen is way off. I touch on right and hits buttons on the left and vice versa. I was able to get to the initial diagnostic screen and was able to get to the menu however I can’t click on the calibration. Any other ways?

You need to go to Level: 2. Touch on INFO and flip lights 3 times. Then touch INFO again and flip lights 3 times again... you are in Level 2 and you will go to screen with calibration and Touch Switch option. Good luck!

I'm not sure it really works as bigloo says, I can't get to our car right now, but it might be worth a shot.

Sounds like you may need to get a used touch screen from another car with nav. I may have one, or you can check with Matt at Texas Hybrid Batteries. He's on here as well, and not far from you. I'm actually going to install one today for a customer.

I found this link that worked for me to get to the 2nd diagnostic screen with touch screen calibration. Video is from UK so buttons on side of screen are opposite from US but everything else worked perfectly. Tip: use a pencil eraser end to touch screen and calibrate.
