    Hello All
I just got a new Toyota Prius III with a navigation package. Everything is outstanding except that I want to change the female voice to a male voice. I dont see any options anywhere yet, Can someone help me change that voice?

My old car had a GPS system which I was able to change.

    Thanx in advance

    Regards

    Sarav,

Unfortunately no, it can not be changed. I am used to "Her" now! :)

Oh I agree as well. Would be nice to select a couple different voices but as I mentioned I have learned to "live with her". I sometimes call her "Minnie Mouse" ;) or catch myself saying, "Thanks Minnie"

Thanx guys.. its really helpful.. I am going to give a good feedback to the Dealership and Toyota. This is really very stupid. Why dont they have a feature to change the voice? Grrrr

I don't mind Nav Lady's voice, but the woman who pronounces the street names has a horrible voice and enunciation! The Garmin Nuvi's voices are very natural sounding and there is no break between the guidance and the street names. I usually use the British guy and call him Mr. Wes Ed Monster because of the way he pronounces "West Edmonston."

I wonder how many of us would go for the voice of HAL or Darth Vader? :)

I also noticed right away what you mean. If I were to associate an accent with that voice, I'll suspect Far-East (Japanese?)

I don't really notice the accent, just that the voice is creaky, like a very old woman, and sounds completely different from the voice used for guidance. I don't know why they can't have fully integrated natural-sounding street names as well as guidance (like the Garmin)
