DO NOT let and shop use their old R134a A/C recharging on NON- hybird cars that use PAG oil unit on your electric hybird car. The EPA and the SAE both in conjunction with M.A.C.S ( www.macsw.org ) have passed new laws and rules to protect car owners with hybird and electric with electric A/C compressors. The new J laws cover the use of separate machines to make sure your car is not contaminated. With the coming NEW automotive refrigerant R1234yf this is even a bigger problem. Many shop do not want to buy separate equipment for your hybird, they just use the old one that are not so accurate at filling and contain PAG oil!!!..
