Nice wheels? VMR? I got the 18" Raijin on my plug-in. I will post. Is your bike helmet white with a black visor? LOL j/k

TSW wheels 19 inch MPG in the toilet. A white and black helmet would look funny its black and white. :)

Dude! 19"s ??? You're my hero! I wanted to go 19 or 20s and every step of the way either a tech or friend talked me out of it because like you said...mpg. I was lov'in my 75 MPG commute mileage before I put my wheels on... now it stays around 65 mpg. And I could have swore I read on Tanabe's website that putting on coilovers will gain a few MPG but so far I am not seeing an increase and in fact seems like I'm getting a few less. (I didn't go with Tanabe though I put in TEIN Street Advanced Coilovers and had them put it in at the out of the box height - which is slammed with no rake!) I'm assuming no rake because I have the heavier Lithium ion battery in the back.

I had some 17 inch wheel for a few months 48 MPG avg best tank 50.7.
Went to the 19 and 43 MPG now if I try harder I think I can get up to 45 MPG.

That is really good for a regular Prius. Today I went into work (Yes on a Sunday) blah - Took advantage of less people on the 405 and I stayed in the right most lane all the time. I got 77 mpg on the commute. So it is still possible. But very ridiculous driving style. (Driving Miss Daisy) I try that when more cars are on the road and everyone behind me acts like they're pissed off just because I'm doing 65. LOL I try to drive 62 and stay in EV mode and I have to keep my eyes on my rearview mirror the whole time.

What tires? I am finding the tires are the biggest hit with these larger wheels. I got DWS tires...they are great, but not LRR. I can get 52-53mpg with my 18's...but you got a work a bit for it. If I just drive like normal...probably around 46 or 47. With the ECO movement...I hope we will soon have more LRR options in these tire sizes.

I got the nitto 555 225/35-19. You might be wright about the tires and MPG.

Also with the bike on the back it kill MPG.

When I was shopping for 19 inch tires MPG are not on top of manufactures list.

@NineScorpions : I also have Continental DWS but I have 215/40 R18 I like the look better. I have a Plug-In so my mileage is still pretty good. Now that I put the coilovers in I'm noticing much better mileage also.
