Good tool for the DIY working on their own car, the POWER PROBE III. Range between $95 to $150 depending were you buy them Part# PP319FTC. Great for testing power, grounds, applying power or ground, has two LED lights pointing towards your work, it has three way of letting you know if you are touching a ground or live. 1# a red or green light, 2# a audible tone high or low to indicate power or ground, 3# a digital volt meter. It has a built in circuit breaker so when you OOPPSSS! you do less or no damage ( unless you touched something you should not have touch !). This is a far cry better then the original POWER PROBE 20 years ago. This is a must have tool for every beginner. It's a great teaching tool for your kids if you are teaching them about electricity on a car. In theory they should make fewer expensive mistakes at their dads cost LOL. Thumbs up for your tool box at home. I can go into any real automotive repair shop and find one of these in at least one TECHs tool box in a shop. It also has a 20FT extension so you can attach to the battery in the trunk of your car and use the tool under the hood testing fuses and relays, wires, or installing you own stereo or other accessory.
