THE OIL, it should be clear but has dye in it for leak test later down the road. I don't think you can see the vary fine metal powder about ^ 600 to 2000 grit sand paper. This shop told me the oil was clean, YEA at first glimpse. If you have real good nearsighted eyes you can see. will see this one back next year$$$$. Poor customer, will be poor after next A/C BILL$$$$. Yes it takes time and money to do it right the first time. ( a shop owner and service writer don't want a customer to walk away because the price is too high!) so cut corners that's the answer!. (A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE ). I'm glad to be able to work with some real good shops, but i'v seen over the last 20 years more and more shop get purchased by a new owner who never worked on cars, just want to see the numbers$$$ and don;t care how. :-(
