You would not want to install a $1200. compressor in a wet system with acid and expect to warranty it again. Some people think a compressor should only last 4 years 5, 7 years, think again how about 10 to 20 years or more. It's all in how you service it !... Testing for acid in electric compressors has been around before I was born so it's noting new. If a A/C TECH has never heard of this then they should go flip burgers for McDonald's!!!. PS This week Im replacing two $6500. 5 ton condensing unit and air handlers because of a HACK!!
