Awesome! Absolutely awesome! I love the desert, I love camping and road trips, and I love rural "off the grid" establishments. I wish I was there right now. If that flag is any indication of the wind speed, I'd say it was pretty windy at the time that you took this photo.
This picture was taken in Nevada during the Baker to Vegas marathon and the wind was gusting up to about 40mph. I provided radio communication support for the race. At the time, my Prius only had about 1K miles on it and my wife told me take care of the new car. I didn’t tell her I took it off road on a rugged road. But the good ole Prius did a fantastic job of moving me along the 120 mile race. I usually take my Toyota FJ, but as long as I keep the Prius away from sand and deep ruts, it does just fine and 40 mpg is a lot better than 14. This pic was taken at one of the few spots where I had to drive off road.
