My GII has had two occasions where the dash lights didn't come on, tho the center screen showed the battery etc. The car responded to the gas pedal, however the braking regenerative system wasn't working and I was actually using the brakes, which had a different sound, and it was only charging on the coast. Initially there was no response to the on/off button, but upon holding it down, it did turn on and off after that. So I held it down for 10 seconds or so, drove it, then turned it off and left it for about 40 minutes. When I got back in, it worked fine. This second occasion was much more lengthy than the first time, which was only minutes. It is good to know what to expect, if it goes completely. I suppose those dash instruments don't come cheap!
