I'm sure you have purchased tires by now, but now that I have driven at least 10k miles on the Conti pro-contact eco plus I can safely say they are perfect. summer mileage was averaging in the mid 50's, and even the coldest days this winter were 38 around town, 43 hiway (70mph or below)= 72-75 mph mileage around 39-40./ they are perfect in any amount of rain, and very good in snow and ice. stopping on ice is as good as i would want it short of having snows, and the traction on snowy roads this winter in ny-nj is very good. only once, in about 5-6 inches of snow did i opt to avoid trying to get into an unplowed parking spot. was considering michelin green x, several yokahamas but once the reviews came out for noise, comfort, mpg's and the winter rating for the conti's were better.
