Prius owners approaching 299,999 miles & your odo does not go past, u need to read this! When my 05 was serviced, the host had his forman ck with Toyota's main office & they told him thats as high as it will go. I could have had a "CLUSTER", (turn it to 0), if i wished, but it would be $485.38. Thats ridiculous because it's their engineering defect. They under estimated the longevity of the Prius & didn't expect it to go that far. I called Toyota offices & they said they would give me a ONE TIME DEAL. They would pay half, ($242.69) & I would have to pay the other half myself. This is outrages. It should be handled like a recall. They should pay it all. Wouldn't you think Toyota would be so proud that their Prius' could reach 300,000 miles & more. Please write to the CEO of Toyota and tell him also.
